    urgent-not beardie related-babysitting box turtle-help

Hey, I was going to put this in the off-topic forum but it looks like that forum may not be checked as often and I kind of need some fast help. I can move it if I need to. Basically, I need help from anyone who keeps box turtles and knows more about their care requirements, or can direct me to...

Dubia Roaches: breed and feed in one tank?

So I'm thinking about starting up a roach colony. I have a small 3X1 tank that I've been thinking of using as a feeding tank, so Zisa can catch his prey a little easier, and I don't have to worry about roaches escaping underneath the slate tiles in his viv. I've checked out a few tutorials...

    Prince Zisa the Spoiled

Zisa is eating a lot more! He loves his new food! And his colors are getting brighter! Still mainly tan, but there's some yellow creeping in as well!

    Prince Zisa the Spoiled

These are just some cutie pics of Zisa I took today and yesterday. He's my first beardie, a 4 year old rescue that I took in in feburary. We've really bonded! Trying out some new foods, as he decided that he didn't like his old staples anymore. I thought he stopped eating because he was sick...

    not eating much

I've been going through something similar with my beardie. I've been to a vet, and my situation seems to be linked to pickiness and stubbornness, but if you are able to somehow work out a trip to a vet, or even just try an over the phone consultation with one, you should do that! And also make...

    Appetite down, yet energetic

SO I had started feeding him blended food with an eye dropper, but stupidly used glass, and he bit the end right off and swallowed it. So I took him to the vet immediately, and there wasn't much they could do for him, but they said the piece was probably small enough to pass through without...

HELP! Beardie just swallowed a tiny piece of glass!

We just got back and the vet thinks it will pass through fine. She gave me a much better feeding syringe made of a hard plastic too. I just have to keep an eye out for any signs of discomfort or blood in his poop for a few days.

I'm about to go to a different vet that's open right now.

HELP! Beardie just swallowed a tiny piece of glass!

I've had to syringe feed Zisa lately because he hasn't been eating on his own. (All my lights and temps are accurate now, and he has energy. I have another thread about this.) The only syringes small enough that I could find at the store yesterday were made of glass, and I knew it wasn't ideal...

    Appetite down, yet energetic

Here is my vet's page on food and supplements. http://www.swanimalhospital.net/_files/animalInfo.php He's the only exotic pet vet in my city, and he's the guy that all the other vets I've talked to, and even our local zoo, recommends. He also gave us a pretty thorough sheet with information...

    the glorious poncho (picture heavy)

Poncho!!! The beardie goddess! I can't get over her coloring! She's one of the prettiest dragons I've ever seen! It's no wonder your blog got so popular! (btw, finally took your advice and got my account all set up here! loving this forum so much)

    Appetite down, yet energetic

I'm having a rough time getting a good picture. The lighting inside my house is not working with my phone very well today. It's a lot brighter than it looks in the viv. And disregard the temp strip. We aren't using that. It was just on there when we got it. http://i.imgur.com/GLsZhKJ.jpg We're...

    SUNSHINE!

I've just started taking my 4 year old rescue outside and he became a whole new dragon! The previous owner said he hated being outside, but I've observed the opposite. He doesn't run around or explore much when we let him out in the house, but when he's outside he just zips around all over the...

    Appetite down, yet energetic

Sorry this is a little long, but it's my first posting/first beardie, so I want to be thorough. I rescued Zisa, a 4 year old male, in late January. For the most part, I hadn't had trouble getting him to eat his veggies, though sometimes I would have to hand feed them to get him interested. But...

    Hi!

Hello! I've been lurking in this forum since I got my first beardie a few months ago. His name his Zisa, and he's a 4 year old male. He's a rescue, and had two previous owners before me. The first apparently neglected and abused him when he was a baby, and the second tried, but didn't care for...
