    Sudden aggressive behavior

Ok so I read the article on brumation and I am not sure if this applies to my beardie. He is less than a year old as far as I know. We got him at the end of March last year. When we first got him he was very aggressive and could not be handled. It took us about 5-6 months before we were able to...

    Cactus pad

I was so excited today when I went to the local store and they actually had cactus pads in stock. So I went a little crazy and bought 4 large pads. So I was wondering if anyone had advice on how to keep them from spoiling. It is very rare that we find them and Draco adores them. Also I was...

    Fresh Green Beans

Draco loves green beans and although the are a feed occasionally food I put them in his greens everyday so he will show interest in the other greens. I would say they only make up about 10% of the greens offered. Anyway for ease I have been feeding him frozen beans but today grabbed some fresh...

    Best UVB set up

SO I have been out searching for a tube UVB set up and wow the decisions are hard. I know I need the Reptisun 10.0 and I am aware that price wise they are going to be close no matter where I get it from. My question is about the hood fixture, is there a cheaper way to go than the Reptisun hood...

I am doing this is a hurry as I have to leave for work. I have attached pictures of Draco's belly. It looked pretty distended. He seems to be pooping and eating fine. I just fed him silk worms last night. IS this normal? The last pic is from a few days ago. This is how hw normally would look.

    silk worms

I just got some silk worms in the mail and boy was I surprised, they are about 1 to 1 1/4 inches long. My beardie is approximately 6 inches and 2 1/2 inches. The silk worms seem like they are way to big for him. I know the rule for cricket size but what about for silk worms?

    R.I.P. Spike

This is our baby Spike. Even though we only got to spend a few weeks with him he will be missed very much. He had such a sweet soul! He was gentle and loved nothing more than sitting on my chest.

He seems very lethargic today. When I picked him up he was barely moving and would not open his eyes. I tried giving him...

Purchased two beardies only 6 days ago. They were housed together at first but yesterday we separated them. This morning I feed both and they seemed to be just fine. This afternoon we came home and one of them had passed away. He was smaller than the other one but had seemed to settled in and...

    Tempature

Well I have the second enclosure all set up with the correct items and have separated the boys(as I will refer to them since we don't know yet if they are male or female). Now that I have the CHE and the Basking light on, the rock temp(measured with a temp gun) is 124 degrees. So it seems like...
