New "Bearded Dragon" Rescue Day... and the husband :O

Thank you so much for all your replies. I have read them all to my husband. He was completely enamored with Stanley from day one and I can tell you that it brought tears to his eyes to know that Stanley somehow reached out to so many others. He choked them back, didn't say much, but I could...

New "Bearded Dragon" Rescue Day... and the husband :O

Well... we got Stanley's new viv done. He has not been doing all that well and sadly passed this morning. It was heart breaking, to say the least. We worked so hard on getting his home done. Got it put together, aired out for a week and then put him in. I had hoped that he would be...

New "Bearded Dragon" Rescue Day... and the husband :O

I have had a very bad couple of months with my auto immune disease issues and hubby is so darn busy at this time. I was thinking of trying to trade or pay a handy man to do it. I just don't have the strength. I did get some faux rock started on. Haven't decided if it will go in Stan's viv or...

    Problem with feeding! Update!

You could also try injecting liquid calcium into a dubia or cricket for him. Great place to find it is here: http://www.bug-de-lite.com/Products%20Page.html This way you know your beardie is getting the exact dosage he/she needs. Marcy

New "Bearded Dragon" Rescue Day... and the husband :O

You basically put them in a tote with a warm damp towel (with ventillation of course for a while and the warmth and humidity helps them shed--some snake owners do this. I don't know about doing it... I am just trying gentle warm baths and will try the pure cocoa butter. I also use pure olive...

Notice the blue on Stanley's jawline? It is so pronounced in real life hard to get on camera. My husband snaps pics of Stan regularly--he caught this one the other day. What a cutie! Here he is... Oh yes, by the way. He loves silks so much he does NOT need to have his blue mayo lid...

    New to Oregon! portlandia

I saw you posted, and am quite far away, Alaska. But wanted to share that I was able to score some display cases from a business and converted them to really cool enclosures. I'd be happy to share what I did if you were looking in that avenue as well. I also know that the crossfire enclosures...

New "Bearded Dragon" Rescue Day... and the husband :O

I sent out a message to the water dragon listserve and have gotten word back that they are fine for water dragons. I don't know I would use them for other critters. I will only feed the worms food I would feed the dragon (veggies etc) as he will not eat any veggies and maybe this will help...

New "Bearded Dragon" Rescue Day... and the husband :O

I have sent out several emails to some experts on this and waiting to hear the answer. I am wondering about red wigglers as a food source for him. Some sites say yes, they are great feeders. I ordered 1/2 a lb after reading what great feeders they are. THEN I read one post that says they are...
