    Maple wood?

I really like the look of the wood, so I don't think I want to use paint. I heard that you don't have to use sealer if you use something besides pine/cedar. But I think I'll use at least one coat on it, just to be safe. I had a custom built enclosure before, made out of pine. Just wasn't quite...

    Hello Everyone

When I had my silkie I always put lotion on him every couple of days. I would wait till I gave him a bath, then put it on. Yes, you need to start using it now. As he gets older and starts to shed less, you don't have to use it as often. I've always used unscented baby lotion and never had any...

    Maple wood?

Hello, I'm about to make my 4x2x2 enclosure. I was going to use Maple wood. I know Pine and Cedar are toxic, so you have to apply a lot of sealer. Since I'm using Maple, do I still have to use a sealer? Thanks

My favorite morph is my Coral hypotrans leatherback. He was produced by Brenda Gore. Both of his parents are from Where Dragons Dwell.

    Beardies living and/or playing together

I have kept 2 females together without issues. Just make sure the enclosure is big enough. There might be one female who takes charge, but as long as there's no fighting and everyone's healthy I don't see a problem with it. If one starts picking on the other, separate them. I never keep males...

New trans silk :) ***New Pics***

Thanks. Yeah it's really not that much different than taking care of a regular beardie. The main thing is just the shedding. They shed like a leopard gecko. He has around an 1inch nip where a little piece of skin wouldn't come off, and it cut the circulation off. Then the last inch or so of his...

Thanks :) And yeah I researched for about 6 months before I got my Silk. I got most information from this site, it was very helpful. I wish more people would just take the time to do their homework before buying a beardie on impulse, then having it suffer. I see tons on craigslist that are not...
