    unable to shed?

As has already been said some sheds take longer then others and sometimes they look like their going to shed but don't. Keep him well hydrated and all his temps where they are. Baths are a good way to keep hydration up so I recommend one every 1-2 days for the next while.

    Outdoor enclosure

Yup no bugs in the encloseur and make sure your beardie has plenty of hides if it gets that hot so he/she can get out of the sun. Also I would consider getting a big shallow bowl to put water in so your beardie can soak in it, don't want it to get dehydrated. :D

    Outdoor enclosure

Any outdoor insect is a problem with beardies, even a fly can be hazardous as you don't know what that fly is carrying with it. To make an outdoor viv you have to be sure nothing from the outside can get in to your beardie. You also have to take into consideration that not every day is going to...

Should I Just Let Him Be?

Many debate this subject so I wouldn't be surprised if you get many different answers :P As for me and my beardie I just let him brumate. I keep everything the same, the same hours of light and at the same intensity. I keep offering food and water daily and once a week I mist him down just...

Trouble with getting my baby beardie to eat.

Since she does shy away from the glass that tells me that she's seeing her own reflection in it and she's getting stressed about "the other dragon". Try getting back drops for your Viv and putting them on the back and sides so only the front is glass, that could solve your stress marks. Another...

Trouble with getting my baby beardie to eat.

Does she tend to shy away from the glass of her tank at times or bite at it? Don't worry too much if she doesn't eat her greens or fruit, most young beardies (like young kids) don't like veggies :P She will eat more of them as she grows older, continue to offer them to her though. When you...

    Ventilation for a new viv

A lot of people make Viv's with either mesh or screen tops. It works great for ventilation and keeps the humidity and what your house is running at.

Relocation stress or just feisty?+ Question on harness

Relocation stress can last different time spans for different dragons. Give him time to settle in, and what ever you do don't stop handling her daily. Don't let her get away with anything or she will take advantage of it. The puffing could be because of shedding or just because it feels weird...

    need help plz mainly advice

Well I've never built my own Viv before but I did buy a home made one off a guy when I got my first beardie. It's just a wood frame with light fixtures in the 2 front corners, he used plexi glass instead of real glass and I have ceramic tiles for the floor. There is mesh across the top for air...

    Relocation Stress

Your temps all seem to be fine. I just asked because they can go really dark when trying to absorb heat, you might want to bump your basking area to 43 degrees, the younger the dragon the hotter they like it. Other then that I would say to just give him some time to settle in. Maybe give him a...

    Brumation

No don't force him to do anything. Just leave him be and keep offering food daily, when he's ready he will come out and eat. Make sure to keep him hydrated though, usually when my beardie goes into brumation I drag her out at least twice a week for a short warm bath then put her back to bed...

    Brumating!

Aw that picture is just the cutest!! :D Brumation can be very scary at first but rest assured he will come out of it eventually. Too soon to them and WAY to long for us. We are selfish creatures but beardies are just so lovable!! Dang them! :P Just try to relax and keep doing what your...

    Relocation Stress

Is there anything in the room that could be upsetting him? Other pets, loud sounds or can he see his reflection? Relocation stress is very common in beardies and some take up to a month to settle out from it. This can include not eating, sleeping alot, black marks, temperament. Just to confirm...

    Worried about my new baby?

Giving him baths during shedding is a very good thing. It helps loosen the skin and keeps them hydrated. I would try to avoid the tooth brush though if the skin is falling off on it‘s own. Their skin is very tender during this time and the less aggrivation tje better.

    Worried about my new baby?

First off try getting your basking side a little higher, beardies like it around the 100 mark and babies like it even hotter around the 110 mark. As for the stress part of things, don't be too worried if the beardie doesn't eat greens right away, it's kind of like our kids and eating veggies...

    12 week old juvenile

Hi Wes, First off Congrats on your new baby! Can't wait to see pictures of him! Yes this is normal for a new beardie. All beardies are different but the rule of thumb is give them at least 2 weeks to settle into their new surroundings and routine. During this time your beardie may be...

    fluckers?

The only thing my beardies get to eat for protein are freeze dried Fluckers crickets. I've done a lot of research and talked to many vets, they all say that Flucker's crickets have all the nutrients that a beardie needs from it's protein. So yes this a good brand to feed your beardie!

having a hard time taming REX

Your Rex sounds exactly like my Kadin when she was young. Like you said remember that he's very young and a ball of energy, they are VERY curious at this age and he's not going to have "cuddle time" yet. Keep holding him as much as you can and your doing the right thing by wrapping your hand...

Im Getting Nervous and i Need Help

Sounds like your baby is growing up! :) It‘s nothing to worry about, they will puff out their beard for no reason (excersizing those muscles), arm wave or head bob (a survival instinct) and generally take care of themselves.
