    Canadian feeder farms

I was asking the original poster where in Canada they were as the title of this thread and the content of his/her post suggest he/she is in Canada. Lol.

    Two Beardies Together?

Oh, it has been done many times before. They are saying for the health and quality of life of your dragons, it is recommended to not put them together. It is well known that people do things even though it isn't ideal. I think it is important to care about giving our pets the best we can, and...

What kind of heat lamp is it? Does it give off visible light? Is it a red bulb? If it is red you can choose to leave it on or turn it off. Many people believe the red light disrupts their sleep a bit, and to be honest heat isnt really necessary at night because even in the wild the...

Beardies are head butting each other

The closest thing I've experienced to this is a sort of nose butting, but with the tongue out. Like a really quick and hard lick. I see this between my male and female as part of the 'courtship'. Most likely this is a mating thing, but I could be incorrect. :)

    How old is everyone here?

I personally think beardies are recommended for children because they are generally docile and well-tempered. However, I think you get more out of it as an adult. Children are often easily bored and really hands-on. I think as an adult you can appreciate the hands-on as well as just watching...

Beardies are diurnal, meaning they sleep at night. Having the UV light on 24 hours would disrupt their day cycle. I would recommend just making sure you have it turned on during the day time, and off at night. Not much you can do to make up for the time he didn't have one. It's good you have...

    Laying Eggs: Very Concerned

I have been bathing her VERY often and she drinks almost every time. I've also been massaging her tummy gently in the bath, and this has resulted in her actually laying an egg in the bath, so I think it helps. She is at 19 eggs now. She is still active and allert so I think that is a good...

Is this normal? (egg laying question)

Thanks for the update. I guess it's reassuring to know that a couple other people on here are having similar incidents and at the exact same time! I really hope all of our dragons are okay, and just decided to be different. :/ I have found the exact same thing with baths. My beardie drinks...

    Canadian feeder farms

Where in Canada are you? Are you in a town that doesn't have many options for pet stores? I'm in Calgary and there are quite a few pet store options which all sell feeders of some type. 25cents per cricket is insane. No bug tubs? In this area I know of a company called "Snake Snacks" They...

    Space between egg laying

She just laid another again at 12:30am. I guess the fact that she keeps laying more is a good thing. muzikfreakah: One thing that I am doing that I am finding to work is giving LOTS of baths, and massaging her tummy very gently. YOu can sort of push the eggs downwards even by barely touching...

    Space between egg laying

Thanks. I already had started a thread but was just looking for info from specific people because nobody seemed to be replying. Now I have a couple threads.. Oops. So my beardie laid another egg today at 10:30 am. I gave her baths throughout the day. She laid one right after a bath around...

    Parsnips? Of all things...

My dragons seem to be rather different in that they really just like green things. I've tried all sorts of fruit and none of it goes over very well. But I'm game on trying anything! :P Oddly enough, my one bearded dragon likes to eat pineapple on occasion (not very often, but as a treat)...

Is this normal? (egg laying question)

I'm having similar problems. Here is my thread: viewtopic.php?p=1176879 I will keep reading this thread in hopes to learn something. I intend on taking her to the vet if things don't change, but I'm hesitant because she's been so weird about everything while being gravid. My beardie is very...

    loss of interest in worms.

Hehe, yah, they get that way. I personally find no beardie (or lizard for that matter) can say no to a freshly shed dubia. When mine refuse to eat a thing and i get worried, I pull out the white dubia to break the fast. :P :)

    loss of interest in worms.

I currently feed my beardies a variety including crickets, superworms, dubias, silkworms, and the odd hornworm. (I dont know about in the states.. but here phoenix worms cost a fortune. and that's what they're called.. not reptiworms. Hmm.. ) Anyways, they change their favourite all the...

    beardie doing some unusal stuff

My bearded dragon just laid eggs and she wouldn't use her lay box either. I even tried putting it inside. She just wanted to lay in a specific corner and on the vinyl tile. And so that's how it went. Sometimes the best you can do is try to provide the right spots and if they don't want to...
