    Where do you feed?

Just out of curiosity, how do you feed your beardies? Do you put them in a separate container for feedings, remove decorations from the usual enclosure, or just let the feeders loose for the beardie to catch them? I've been using a bowl that's deep enough so crickets can't get out, but...

    Bath poop fail

So Ender usually poops when I give him a bath in the sink, which is much easier to clean up than if he poops in his viv. Today Ender had a different plan. Luckily he did not manage to poop on the strawberries...this time.

    Crickets inside/outside?

So, I know the way folks normally keep crickets (plastic storage bin with proper ventilation), and the various somewhat-more-expensive alternatives (roaches, reptiworms). Crickets are really the easiest thing to obtain where I am, and my boyfriend doesn't want roaches. I'm mostly just trying...

    Bamboo bird bridge thing?

I want this object I know I've seen before, but I can't find it for sale or even a picture of it anywhere. It's like a bamboo bridge, with pieces of bamboo laced together, and I thought it was meant for birds, but I can't seem to find them in any nearby petstores. Does anyone know what these...

    Skritching the floor

So, today I moved my beardie into a larger, wooden cage from the 20 gallon glass tank he was in before. The wooden cage has tile in the bottom, and the 20 gallon had reptile carpet. He's been skritching since I put him in there, not just near the doors as if he wants to get out but all over...

    While driving...

So I was at work yesterday delivering some pizzas and was stopped at a stoplight when I glanced over at the car next to me. I noticed the lady in the passenger seat was holding a familiar shape--it looked like a small plastic animal carrier like the ones I keep crickets in. When I looked...

    Stain curing

My dad made me a killer new tank for Ender for my birthday. He stained the wood, inside and out, and I was wondering if anyone would hesitate about putting him in it with the inside stained as well, and how long you would leave it to cure beforehand.

    Building enclosure; lighting?

I want to build an enclosure like the one here: http://www.arbreptiles.com/cages/3x2.shtml, but I'm not sure how to accommodate the lighting. Right now I have a wire clamp lamp on the side of the tank with a mercury vapor bulb, which I'd like to keep using, but I might consider switching to...

    Dumb Beardie Nicknames

Do any of you have goofy nicknames for your beardies? I like to call mine "stinkybean" or "littlebeard" :3

    Hand feeding

This is kind of a dumb question, but how do you guys hand-feed? Do you just grab something and hold it in front of your beardie until he eats it? It seems like whenever I try to hand-feed a vegetable or fruit, it ends up being too slippery and I drop it before he even notices :p Either way...

    Digs when light goes out

So whenever the lights go out every night, Ender runs around a lot and digs at the edges of his carpet until he finally settles down and finds a place he wants to sleep. Do anyone else's beardies do this? Do you think he'd appreciate something to dig at/hide in (a cloth or something)?

    Superworms in cooler?

So I got a cooler and some ice packs for reptiworms, and I was wondering if superworms could be kept in there as well. Would the superworms last longer in there, too, or are they best kept at room temperature?

    Cooling reptiworms

How do you cool your feeder worms to get them to last longer? I know a beer/wine fridge is ideal, and depending on the weather leaving them outside can work. Does anyone have any other methods?

How much to feed? (6 month beardie)

I've been giving my ~6 month beardie crickets and superworms in the morning, with veggies available all day, which I gather is what a lot of people do, but I was wondering how many crickets/worms is appropriate for a good "breakfast" meal. Thanks!

    Ender's Game

http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v11/shush/?action=view&current=MVI_0984.mp4 Here's a video of my new-ish beardie Ender nomming some crickets. I already posted it in his intro thread, but I thought I'd post it here as well, because... it's just fun to watch a beardie eat things. My next goal...

    New/first beardie Ender

Recently moved into my own apartment and realized I was no longer bound to the two-critter limit imposed on me by my mom, I decided to get a bearded dragon. I figured I'd have to wait until summer to find a baby beardie, but I found someone giving away a six-month-old on Craigslist due to lack...
