    Canceling Petco PALS

Quick update: Just left Petco after speaking with the general manager Mike. I've "returned" the two Leopard Geckos I purchased, and they will be going to "Petco's Vet" this afternoon at Petco's expense. I should be able to pick them up tomorrow afternoon (assuming they don't have Crypto). I'm...

    Canceling Petco PALS

I'm pretty torn about this, but I'm going the others tomorrow. Hopefully I can convince them to give that one to me. The plan is to nurse the others to full health and move them to a forever home.

    Canceling Petco PALS

Found this little guy at Petco today (sorry for the blurry picture): The tail has no fat, and his legs are literally bones. I canceled my Petco PALS membership and will no longer be supporting the store. I would rather buy from online dealers than continue to support such gross animal...

    Petco vs PetsMart

I try to purchase everything from the local pet store, but I definitely prefer Petsmart to Petco.

    Stain curing

I also used a stain+sealer, and was able to speed up the "deodorizing process" by putting baking soda inside of the cage. I left one package open and sprinkled the other all over the floor, etc. Definitely sped up the process.

    Odor?

Their poop really stinks. I've owned snakes and leopard geckos, but Beardie poop takes the cake on smelly. If you keep the cage clean, however, there isn't any smell at all. Conveniently, mine are "poddy-trained." I take the adults out every other day to poop in the tub, and the baby poops every...

    Question.....custom viv..... Help

The key is to look for "low voc" stain/sealer, and to give the tank plenty of time to air out (with heat).

    weird wart like spots

If you look up my history, I also started a thread about this. I was able to post some great pictures of exactly what femoral pores look like.

    can someone help me ?

Looks like a pretty standard orange dragon. I think some people might call that sandfire, but the name's are hardly relevant. Just please don't call it RED. Nothing irritates me more than people parading around orange Beardies like mine and yours claiming that they're red.

    Poop pic analysis anyone?

    Looks perfectly normal.

And now for something completely different...

Absolutely. In fact, I'll knock off a bunch of tiny, tiny baby roaches sometimes for my youngest Beardie. He enjoys chasing those little things more than crickets!

    found a beardie

As cute as he is, definitely a good idea to talk to your neighbors. I recently found my lost bearded dragon, and it would be pretty upsetting to have had someone else get to her first. A Craigslist as or two might locate the owner.

    6x2x2

Mount it with a continuous, aka piano hinge, and search the local yellowpages, etc. for plexiglass or glass cutters. Any city should have several companies that do it.

    Rate my viv

I just realized that you have a water bowl in your tank. The water is unnecessary and will only increase the cage's humidity (especially considering it's on the hot side). None of my Beardies have water in their tanks, and I would definitely recommend removing your water bowl.

PETCO IS HAVING A BEARDED DRAGON AWARENESS???

They're not necessarily bad, but the hard shells can be hard to digest. Insect variety is good, however, so feeding one insect perpetually is usually frowned upon by enthusiasts.

    Growth

Just watched the videos. You've definitely got a great looking big guy on your hands! 8)

    Growth

She sounds to be growing pretty quickly (as they do when they're small). Hopefully you've got a "monster" on your hands. Throw up a couple of pictures!
