    Few random questions and Expo!

I can't speak for that particular expo. But most expos have things such as cages, lights (sometimes fixtures too), driftwood pieces, supplements, feeders and just about anything you would need to set up a lizard. Now will they have ALL of these? Possibly, but probably not depending on how big...

    HELP LOST BABY BEARDIE!!

Congrats on finding him! I once lost a 2" baby brown Anole. Somehow got out of his cage with a screen top. Found it hours later hanging out on a brown log I hadn't put in his enclosure yet. Not sure if he was trying to blend in, but I was shocked when I found him for sure.

    Sharp nails!

I personally use the normal toe clippers we use! I am not sure about the dog clippers. I am a foster for a cat rescue and have cats of my own so I have "mastered" cat clipping and beardeds are just as easy for me. Not sure how it would go if you don't have much experience with cat clipping...

    Sharp nails!

You can clip them, just make sure to do the very, very tip. I've had my 3 dragons on tiles from the start and they are still on them now. The tiles don't keep them from becoming sharp forever, just slows it down. This was when I first finished the 5x2x2 enclosure. So it's much different now...

    What Stores carry .....

I got my temp gun at Harbor freight. Not sure if there's any in your area though. http://www.harborfreight.com/october-countdown-sale.html - They have a sale online right now (I know you dont want to). But 50% off is amazing for a temp gun. It's the one I use. Looks like there's a shop near...

Best Vitamins for my Little Monster?

I personally use Herptivite. No issues in many, many years of keeping reptiles. http://www.petmountain.com/product/reptile-food-supplements/11442-105550/rep-cal-herptivite-multivitamin.html?utm_source=gcs&utm_term=11442-105550 I dust twice weekly (1 feeding, not both). I have heard of others...

    Deciding on Live Feeders

Dubias makes no noise and hardly have any odor to them. Can't climb smooth surfaces and you hardly have to clean their bin, especially if you're just buying feeders. Dark areas are good. 75-100 degrees and they'll be fine. The only way you really smell them is if you stick your nose right in...

    Deciding on Live Feeders

Well, silkworms are very expensive but really good feeders. If your dragon is 1.5 years old, he can take down the biggest silkworms and hornworms no problem. I wouldn't consider either of these the most cost effective feeders though. Hornworms also have a lot of water in them (I think 83-87%)...

    Wont eat dusted crickets

My 15 month old is also pickier with dusted bugs. I have a trick for that though! Dust just the bottom side of the cricket so the white barely shows or doesnt at all. You can do this by putting some calcium in a container and picking up the cricket between your fingers and dragging the bottom...

Rant about Rep Show(NEW PICS) COME LOOK !!!!!!!!!!!

I go to the Taylor show every month and vendor there. I didn't see what this person saw. The show is actually usually fairly good. There weren't nearly as many vendors this show because of the big show in chicago on the same day. I didn't see the 2 baby beardies mentioned though (first show...

    Brumating at 10-11 months old?

Thanks for the replies, she had a fecal about 2 months ago and was clear. I would say she is on the bigger side, they both are. Last weight I think was over 450g, closer to 500g. Sadly I lost my weight table a week ago because my computer crashed and couldn't be saved. Weighing them today...

    Brumating at 10-11 months old?

So my beardy Rhodus seems to be trying to brumate. She has been denying her dubia roaches for a few weeks, and will only eat hornworms (which is only once in a while) Other than that, she tries to sleep under her hide almost all day. I thought maybe she was just tired of roaches but maybe it...

30+ crickets a day really necessary?

That also might be the case. But from what I've seen. If mine ate 30-40+ appropriate sized crickets (slightly less than the width between their eyes), they would be gaining 40-50+ grams a week, which I can't believe would be healthy for a growing dragon.

    Free-roaming (sorta) Dubias in enclosure?

I think throwing some Dubias in the enclosure would be fine. If you're using a tank, remember that they CAN climb the silicone to seal the tank. It has enough grip. The babies especially. So just think about that before you go throwing some in! Dubias can't climb smooth surfaces at all, but...

30+ crickets a day really necessary?

I'd say the amount really depends on the dragon. If you're feeding a decent amount of veggies, then hitting 30 a day might not be reached. I think a lot of the people that say their dragons are eating 40+ a day, are being fed smaller crickets than the dragon can eat. For instance, feeding a...

Unfortunate News regarding Solar Glo MVB

They are most definitely not resolved. I know of at least 8 people who had their "new" MegaRay burn out within a week of use. Some within a day. I would not buy anything from MegaRay for the time being.

    Where to buy???

Yep, craigslist or pet shops are your best bet. Not ones like PetSmart, but local ones. I found a 75g for $75 in a pet shop around here. They just wanted to get rid of it. It even holds water, although I use it for reptiles. Must be lucky, I just got a 40g breeder yesterday for free on CL too.

    Head Dragging

I was one of the ones who said for him to stop using the coiled bulb. However, the part I disagreed with was HOW much to use the d3 supplement. 5 times a week is a lot to take in. Too much, is what I was saying.

What Do You Make Of This?

It's just like the powdered vitamin d3 form (Like Rep-Cal with d3). Except liquid form. Some reptiles can utilize these "manufactured" d3 supplements, some can't (iguanas I know for sure cannot). They are safe to use once a week if you are already providing UVB. But they absolutely cannot...

    Head Dragging

The only thing I disagree with so far is the vitamin d3 supplement 5 times a week. A couple of things about it. 1. d3 is fat soluble, meaning that it is stored in the body, and if too much is stored it becomes toxic. 2. You only need a d3 supplement if you are not providing UVB or are using...
