Sick beardie - not sure what the problem is

Excited you are going to an exotic vet school. I still think it is yellow fungus and her poor jaw looks broken. That is the bone that is out. Good luck. I hope an exotic vet can really help her!

Sick beardie - not sure what the problem is

The things I am reading say 10mg/kg has been the most effective on getting rid of canv when using voriconazole.

Wait for traci's opinion but I guess you have to trust your vet prescribed it right. Did she weigh your dragons and give that info to the pharmacy ? I feel like they would have said something if it was the wrong dosage for such a small body weight.

Mix the powder with a teaspoon of applesauce or baby food . Ask the vet for a 1ml syringe and put it in his mouth and let him eat from the syringe until it's gone. A syringe without a needle. Also, I am prescribed 20 grams per ml and I only give .01mls a day to an adult bearded dragon.

My meds are in liquid form and they added an apple flavor to make it good. I've never heard of powder. Hopefully tracie can chime in and tell us that that's the right stuff.

Hey Gabrielle. That sounds about right for that medicine. Mine was 75 dollars. As for as carnivore care, yes that is the right stuff. It is made specialty for lizards or other animals who are recovering from major surgeries that do not want to eat. Therefore it is loaded with the stuff to keep...

Sick beardie - not sure what the problem is

I don't think i have to tell you my opinion. I would have the oral anti fungal in a heartbeat. There is not a doubt in my mind that what your baby has is fungal. And that by itself is very deadly. Just make sure she get the correct dose. I am just curious, is she a reptile specialist or a small...

I am using voriconazole and would reccomend that. The other medication in veterinary trials did not cure some dragons with yellow fungus and had high death rates. I am using voriconazole and my dragon is looking better and eating like a champ with no probiotics. So if you do it with probiotics...

Sick beardie - not sure what the problem is

I'm just trying to help, not be bothersome. Look how similar the skin tissue is. And how it is appearing glossy. And yellow fungus causes ulcers which is exactly what is happening to hermie. Tell the vet to go on "VIN" and find info on yellow fungus. My dragon had been on her antifungal since...

They definetly have yellow fungus. I have been researching this for a while now since my dragon was diagnosed and this is a very aggressive disease that is resistant to some anti fungals. You need to get the antifungal meds I told you about ASAP. I hate to say this but I think it may be too...

Sick beardie - not sure what the problem is

Just my thinking... I don't believe it is a burn because it keeps scabbing and coming off. Usually burn scabs get scabs and continue to heal. I would keep doing diluted betadyne and maybe try the antifungal and neosporin. The white kind of neosporin. If it seems to.be healing g with the...

Acupuncture is cleary not the answer here.I have heard it helps disorders in cats but I can definetly tell you that she needs to be worrying about that wound instead of acupuncture. A simple scale scrape could have told her if it was fungal or not . That way she can treat her for fungus even it...

They actually look good for being at a pet store. Just wait until you see a cage full of skinny weak ones.
