    Do Superworms Spit?!?!

I just bought some supers from a local place and had a conversation with the misses behind the counter about superworm bites. Her friend came up and interrupted the conversation stating that she had never been bit by supers, but that she had been spit on by them, a lot. I'm sue that I didn't...

    Breeding superworms? Pics included.

My beetles come out of container #1 and are placed into container #2. Container #1 then sits in the top of the worm rack until the eggs wormify and are just big enough to not be eaten (usually when it reaches the bottom of the worm rack). Each new container of eggs/baby supers is placed in the...

    Zilla Dual Hood Question

Get your light fixture from WalMart. Just make sure that it's a T8 fixture with the required wattage. Any T8 fixture will do. Home Depot also has a good selection for cheap.

    Building a cage

This is my recommendation: Use whatever wood is cheap. Make sure that it's wood though, stay away from MDF. Don't stain the inside. Use tile or non-adhesive shelf liner for substrate. If you still want to stain the inside these appear to be good, http://www.ecospaints.net/ , completely...

    Breeding superworms? Pics included.

No need to use the screen. Just transfers the beetles into a new container and the old container becomes the incubator. I transfer my beetles every 2-3 weeks.

    Breeding superworms- Questions about heat

When I forst started breeding supers I kept them in an unheated room in my basement. They were producing lots of babies but the babies were not growing. After doing some research I added a space heater to the room which keeps it at a constant 85F. Now the worms are growing really fast. I got...

Is it okay to feed my 6 month old superworms?

At less then 16" the beardie's intestinal track may not be completely straightened out. There is a serious risk of impaction that comes with feeding supers to dragons whom are not ready. Also, as was accurately stated, no need to cut off the heads.

    Maybe Bleached Crickets?? Help

I am agreeing with the previous posts. The safest bet is to get rid of all the crix that may have come into contact with the bleach. You dragons would be ingesting the bleach through bio-accumulation, the same way that gut loading works. Sorry to hear, man.

Crickets, anyone able to manage smell?

I did it. I have actually COMPLETELY gotten rid of cricket stink. When I started buying my crix in bulk I learned the the terrible stench from 200-300 crix in a Cricket Keeper wasn't even the smallest fraction as bad as the evolved unholy stank that protruded from 2k crix in a Rubbermaid bin...

    Question on liquids...

I have water dishes in my beardie vivs with small air pumps blowing bubbles in them. I have noticed the beardies seem to have fun trying to catch the bubbles and usually stop for a drink in the process. I have noticed recently that when they are in the middle of a shed they will spend extended...

    Crickets eating the tank

I just threw a bunch of crickets into the dragon viv and watched as they climbed up the silicone on the sides, as they normally do. But this was my first time noticing that they were eating the silicone at the top. There is a noticeable trail made by the crickets mouth. I was wondering if...

    old cage

The black fuzzy worm things are called 'Dermestid beetles'. They are harmless and just feed on dead crickets. I usually find several of them in any large order of crickets that I receive.

    Dragon not eating

To sum things up a little: I would suggest to try to remedy these things as quickly as possible and take them to the vet immediately along with poop samples. The enclosure during the day should be about 85F on the cool side and 100-105F on the basking side and drop to no less then 65F at...

    Baby Turning Black

Thanks for the support guys! I have been talking to the local breeder and I will probably drop over there tomorrow. I would like to think that it's nothing I did wrong, I really can't go through another one passing again. :( Hopefully I will have a healthy beardie (or two) within the next...
