    Cuban Anole

I know it's eating because mealworms are dissapearing from the peanut butter cap, I just haven't personally been able to watch it happen.

it's a knight. I've yet to see him eat except when I've placed food in it's mouth. I can touch it for a short time now so I think I can probably clean the cage and get it transfered without getting snapped but that's about all it will let me do before flaring up running around like crazy and such.

we it didn't spit any of them out. It's been seen eating them on it's own too. Still wondering about regular earthworms? But hopefully over the next month I can get it to the point where it's not aggressive and I can pick it up out of the cage without being bitten.

    Crested Gecko or Tokay?

they sell 15 watt moon bulbs that give off a dull bluish purple light. If the room gets a tad cool they can go near it, if not, it doesn't throw heat far. If the top is a screen it wont build up though I have a large cage, I think 24 high and 18x18 square. You can also use a red LED flashlight...

    File this under "wtf?"

Removing food dishes from my rachy's this evening I find a hard, shriveled egg in my gargoyles cage. It's female (obviously) but has no mate, and I've owned it since March 2011. It's the first one I found. Does this mean it may have once mated? The breeder says no, but it's my understanding they...

    Cuban Anole

http://s862.photobucket.com/albums/ab182/starforce2/Cuban%20Anole/ I was able to insert 2 crickets and a waxie into it's open mouth today. I'll do this now and then and see if it tames down. It didn't seem to mind me touching it with the pencil today but it's way smaller than my hand...well...

I am wondering if superworms might be too big yet for it to be eating. Also I've not seen it mentioned but I thought I had read somewhere that they eat (or can eat) earthworms? Do you feed them any of these? Should they eat them?

    Cuban Anole

I should be able to get some better pix soon, as it likes to flare it's throat sail. I tried petting it gently with the soft end of a pencil and it went ballistic on me..so glad I didn't use my finger. Going to try what was suggested for an aggressive beardie, which is to shove a cricket or...

    Cuban Anole

Does anyone have any exp with these? I hear they are easy to care for. I have one with a 50 or 60w heat and uvb5, blow of moss wads filled with water for the moss and then I have reptibark and sphagum to water and a fake plant to climb in a 10 gal. Yea the cage is a tad small and will need to be...

Continue on Rex's savannah monitor thread!

clearly not an animal for me then, but they are cool to watch. Several youtube vids on them and a reptile club meeting adopted out a pair of them and seeing them close up was fun.

    which would you buy?

I think that size is what I keep my male/female in, and aside from occasional battle damage on the female, which, except for one mating always been minor, they seem fine. They're very active, fairly hand tame once you can grab them and get them on your hand. However, those fancy 18x18x24 have a...

    Emerald swift issue..sexing?

Firstly...can 2 males be housed together? I saw an image where they show dominant and non-dominant male, which suggests they can, and one will be green with bright blue underbelly and the other a drab grey with less blue underbelly. However, I thought the drab color and less blue was a female...

    Canceling Petco PALS

I've never seen a healthy leo (and similar with fat tail) at petco. However, at the 2 I visit, the beardies, with an occasional exception are generaly healthy, they finaly put proper information and scientific genus printed on the neon tree dragons and oddly enough the anoles, bahama anoles...

    Crested gecko.

try placing a dish of dry powder in there. you'll see little indentations along the sides of the powder pile where they stick their snout in and lick. My 2 hatchlings are in a clear cricket cage with a wad of paper towel, that provides both a moist place and a hiding place. Depending on the...

    sexing madagascar day gecko's

I am trying to find a picture that shows a side by side comparison between male and female of the Pm Grandis. I managed to get one at the last reptile show, they said it was male, but before I get a second one I'd like to confirm it. So far I've only been able to find pictures of other people...
