I am thinking about getting a baby bearded dragon from another city that is 9hrs away. We are going to travel by car. How would one suggest I travel? I am thinking tuperware container and hot water bottles but I am not sure if that would be sufficient.

I had been using sand as a substrate since I got my beardie. He was in a sand substrate viv since he was a baby. Never had a impaction issue. Anyways, I would use a shop vac to clean out his viv once a week (4'x2') and lately moving large rocks and tree branches has become quite the task...

When I bought my daughter a beardie in April, the pet rep suggested that I add variety to the diet so they don't become dependant on one supplement. We tried the crickets as the constant food source and added wax worms as a 'treat'. Well Harold, the beardie, did not seem too keen on the worm...
