    Huge Appetite

Hey all, Recently my beardie has gone from eating very sparingly (I had 100 PWL + greens and that lasted two weeks) to voracious (over 200 PWL + about twice as many greens in the last week and a half). I'm thinking he just came out of brumation or something and that's why it's increased, though...

    Pooping Habit

My Doc is a strange one, he refuses to poop on tile. I recently switched him off of sand and onto tiles, though I kept a bit of sand underneath the tiles for insulation and there's a bit of extra space that I couldn't get tile into, so I left it sandy. Now anytime he needs to go, he'll run...

    Feeders in Ontario

The only one I've found so far is recorp.ca (which I mentioned in my earlier post). It takes a little while to get through the order process, but you can get 3-4 cups of them in one standard shipment (thus saving on shipping fees) and they're not too bad price-wise ($8.50 CAD per 100 of the...

    Substrate question

I'm in a colder climate and I'm thinking of changing up my substrate (currently on sand, never had a problem with it and it keeps heat very well). I'm going to be switching to slate or some kind of tile, but I'm worried it won't keep the heat overnight. My house gets pretty cold in the winter...

    Feeders in Ontario

Just wanted to update, I received my order on the 22nd of February. That took forever -_- luckily I still had enough food to keep my little guy happy until then. Now I can spend some time really looking around! And starting next month I may be able to get a colony of crix going :)

    Feeders in Ontario

Starting a colony is not an option for me right now. Anyway I've decided to try recorp.ca but they're really slow in responding to order requests. I sent in a question on the 30th of Jan, they got back to me on the 5th of Feb, and I "placed" my order that same day, still no response.

    Feeders in Ontario

Does anyone know where I can get a good variety of feeder insects in the Hamilton, Ontario area? I've been looking around and it seems every shop is trying to price gouge. Online is cheaper, but shopping online requires huge orders and for one beardie, that really doesn't make sense. I want...

    Oh no, worst possible timing.

I'm living in a house off campus, that's not the problem, the problem is my lease specifically says "no pets" and my landlord had originally said it would be ok, until they found out that beardies eat live insects... Now it's a "no"

    Oh no, worst possible timing.

My family said that they want nothing to do with him :(. Oh well, I'll figure something out.

    My baby loves his mint

It seems my baby Tanis doesn't really like live feeders... he seems to eat only one or two, but he'll ravage a mint plant from my backyard when I bring it in clipped to the inside of his tank. I'm worried about him not eating his insects, but at least he's getting good plant-matter. Also, I dust...

    Oh no, worst possible timing.

I recently got my beardie Tanis, actually, it was about a week ago. Now I find out that when I head off to school there's gonna be no one around to take care of him, and I can't actually take him with me. I don't know what to do :S I'm thinking of giving him away (or selling him hopefully) if I...

A quick intro from a new owner!

Hey all, I got my first beardie, Tanis, yesterday. I'm not sure of the gender yet, (s)he's still a juvenile, but I have a 40 gallon breeder tank so I'm trying to keep him(?) happy in there. He seems to like the space and loves the basking rock. However, my parents don't want me to keep live...
