Guess he didnt like it outside (pics)

I gotta admit, I didn't have the nerve to put my hand it front of him to bring him back in. Had to come from the side. It sat there like a statue, very eerie.

GRRR!!! BACK...THE &%@#.....UP! He stayed like this all the way back to his cage. What a buzzkill he is. I think I'll rename him. Buzzkillington.

    Is it yawning? Dry heaving?

It was longer, about 20 seconds. He did look at me like that though. Strange animal, youre right.

    Is it yawning? Dry heaving?

No sound, but his beard contracted and expanded like a frog. Not so rapidly, like if you played a frog breathing in very slow motion.

    Is it yawning? Dry heaving?

Strangest thing, my beardie was basking, then it opened its mouth as wide as it could, and blew up its beard larger than I've ever seen it. It blew straight out to underneath the bottom of its mouth. It looked like it was choking, or dry heaving or something. Then it just stopped and resumed...

Hasn't eaten right for 3 months - very strange habits

Here's some pics of him now and how its set up. You can see he has crickets in front of him. He looks at them, but doesn't go for it. If this is something that requires vet visits and expensive medications then I really dont have the time or money to deal with it. If someone could...

Hasn't eaten right for 3 months - very strange habits

Im kidding about the princess comment thats why I changed it. I forgot who I'm posting to and that theres no tone to our comments, just words which can be misinterpreted. I know you're all very protective of these animals, and I'm just frustrated because I devote so much time, money and care...

Ok, if he doesn't see progress in a week I'll post an ad here and see if anyone in San Diego wants a beardie. Thx everyone for the advice

Hasn't eaten right for 3 months - very strange habits

Now the cage is in my room and all he wants to do is get out of the cage. I guess it's a step, he's active, but if he's not asking he's cage dancing back and forth. Any ideas? Temps are 120 on the basking spot, 80 on the cool. Temps fluxuate -5 degrees

Hasn't eaten right for 3 months - very strange habits

My brothers an *******, there's no way that lizard is getting in the house besides staying in my room which is fine. I need to pick my battles carefully cause they turn into war. I have tile substrate and it smells to holy hell when that lizard poops. I'm not around 24/7 to clean his...

Hasn't eaten right for 3 months - very strange habits

I live with my brother, he owns the house. While I disagree that a cat smells more than a lizard (because they clean themselves and the litter covers the odor), I do agree with everything else youre saying and I will do my best to follow your advice. I may need to consider finding myself a...

Hasn't eaten right for 3 months - very strange habits

You know, I was in the store and I just remembered a lot of advice in these forums regarding apricot baby and thats just what stuck. They're cheap, I'll get the ones you recommended tomorrow. I have that T-rex supplement that I mixed with it. I'll make sure it's phosphorus free. It has both...

Hasn't eaten right for 3 months - very strange habits

In the house isn't an option. Outside would be, so the garage is the next best. It's California, it'll never get dangerously cold. I just need to crank up the wattage. If it goes in my room, the cat will try to eat it all night. The only time it's ever shown anger is towards that cat. I...

Hasn't eaten right for 3 months - very strange habits

Quick question, to keep the tank warmer during these months, would it be advisable to cover 1/2 of the metal mesh cage lid with a towel or something to retain heat throughout?

Hasn't eaten right for 3 months - very strange habits

Hey there, Yes I agree, and on top of that all this advice is news to me. He's in the garage because I don't own the house, and the owner does not allow reptiles inside (they smell sometimes if I don't get to the cage quickly after a mess). It's just not an option. I wasn't aware that a...

Hasn't eaten right for 3 months - very strange habits

I'll look into getting a new tank. He has plenty of stuff to do in there, climb bricks, climb a branch, run around on the tile...I see hes growing out of it tho I use the 45 watt house bulb (white powdered) in a ceramic enclosure. I position it on one side above a brick, so he's elevated...
