Bearded Dragon Sleeps Out of Cage.. DIY Bed?

sweet topic - sorry to see trolling however... (saleen89559) wa wa waa but yeah - I've had Borris sleep in bed with me when I'm real lonely (is that creepy?) and I've noticed - even when he's sleeping in his cage (which is mostly every night) that he really doesn't move until he's woken up by...

My beardie has insomnia? Maybe nocturnal?

I totally agree - sometimes if Borris' cage is to hot - he stays awake all night. Too hot is just as bad as too cold - keep a thermometer handy in the cage - i use a probe one and just keep it where he spends the most time. If he needs to get hotter he'll move to the heat - but if he can't...

Do beardies ever learn about reflections?

My beardie borris LOVES mirrors - He loves to attack himself, flash his beard, and scratch the mirror. I keep a mirror in his cage, and it entertains him. He doesn't attack it all the time, once in a while he'll get on a kick. I asked my vet if it was okay because some other members on the forum...

    "Dragon walk"

Borris loves his sticks - I don't have mine covered, but I tried to wrap it with rope - fail! The branches I have my dad found for walking sticks, so I cooked them in the oven for a little while (I forget what temp, but I think for 1/2 hour or something) - the bark on them is pretty thick, not...

    House trained Beardies??

My beardie is trained to get in and out of his cage. He seems to prefer to poop outside the cage. He lives in my room, and he'll wake me up in the morning crawling around and making a ruckus - I'll wake up and open his door, and he'll navigate his way down, do his buissness, and climb up into...

    Sleep Head Bobbing? Normal?

Good, I hope so. There are no other signs of distress or illness, so I'll just keep an eye on it i guess. He doesn't head bob ever really, so I like to think its his form of puppy dreams (when dogs kick their legs and woof while sleeping haha). Thanks for the reassurance!!

    Toys for Beardies?

It mostly seems to depend on how active he is that day. He occasionally tracks them by cocking his head side to side, not very fast or anything...kinda like he does when he watches cars pass by. And I'll try to move him from the spot when play time is over (ending... he can be fussy haha) and he...

    Restless at night

How warm is the cage at night? Maybe it's too hot and she wants to play or something? During the day, my dragon loves to play around in his cage moving blankets, digging at the shelf-liner, banging his head against the wall. Maybe lowering the cage temp at night may help her sleep. I heard...

    Bearded garden terrified of nothing?!

I am just wondering - has anyone had problems with their beardies eating fire flies? They are toxic, and the main reason I am afraid of bringing my lizard outdoors. Do you just not have them where you live? They are out all day, not just in the night... I'm just so scared to lose him!
