    One clutch

I'm not overly concerned whether or not she does lay anymore, I was looking for advise or opinions from people who have been breeding them longer. Of course I wouldn't want to over breed her, why would I? I thought perhaps she didn't retain enough sperm and needed to be reinrtoduced, or perhaps...

    One clutch

My female has only laid one clutch so far this season, compared to her 4 last year, and she doesn't seem to be gearing up to lay anymore. It's been 3 wks since the 1st and she looks perfectly normal. Her first cluch had 34 eggs but 6 of them were slugs right from the start and a few more looked...

    What is the best laybox?

This is what I use. It hold moisture well without being "wet", and don't collapse like sand may tend to do after it deid out for a few days. Mine seem to really like it anyway.

LOL well hopefully eventually. Wasn't even sure if I was going to breed them this year, lot of other breeding projects on the go this year .. that's why I was also tempted to just wait and see, but I think I'll put them together again and see how the female reacts. I have a beautiful white male...

    Breeding season starts .. I hope ..

Hahahaha something about that just seems weird LOL I think on the weekend I'll introduce them again, they've both been breed before but I don't think the female was interested at all this time round. No biggie, I'll give her a bit and try again :)

    Breeding season starts .. I hope ..

Yeah, my dragons have finally snapped out of their brumation and have been filling their little faces for a few weeks with good food and calcium. Pretty early considering I'm in northern Canada, usually they sleep till around mid March. So today I intorduced my male to the female only not sure...

    Brumation?

Sounds like the right age and time of year, mine started brumating just 2 wks ago. I had a friend come feed my reptiles while I was out of town and it freaked them out because my dragons didn't eat a single thing for 4 days which didn't surprise me at all. Take him out once a week for a bath to...

    removing baby worms from substrate

Hi guys. I started my mealworm colony months ago and it is going great! I've got thousands of free feeders from it but my question is what is the best substrate to use ... Right now I use oats and omg it's such a pain in the butt to try and separate the little worms from the substrate!! I tried...

    Urgent EGG question!

Mine all came out safe and sound, I actually had 100% hatch/survival rate. It took from that evening until the following afternoon for them to all come out. The friend who has the other 12 eggs in the clutch had another single dragon hatch out and it seems to be doing ok but the other still show...

    Feeding hatchlings

How soon after hatching do the babies start to show an interest in food? Ive bred other herps that usually take a week to start eating because they are still full from the yolk sack but this is my first beadie clutch to hatch out. Of course I know what to feed them, just wondering when I should...

    First Hatchlings

Nine out of the eggs so far but one doesn't look too good :( I thought it was dead but then it twitched so I moved them out of the incubator and into a temporary tote with heat, hoping that will help perks it up. Plus they were squishing the ones that were still trying to hatch out, sitting...
