I am using this bulb for a while but one thing bothers me. There is a slight high pitch humming sound coming from the bulb itself. It is barely audible but I notice it when I get near it. Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks

Was wondering if anyone has experienced that a 9 month old female is industriously digging? She just started that recently (2-3 weeks ago) and if she was older, I'd say she is carrying eggs, but at 9 months? Temps range from high 70's - 108, Zoomed mercury vapor bulb, plenty of hiding spaces...
