Yes that's what I said - eating the temperature probe. Apparently Rufus thinks the probe is a worm because he won't stop trying to eat it. It's suctioned to the side of the tank and it's most obviously not alive but every day he tries to munch on it. Does anybody else have a weirdo pet? :P

I don't know if any of you are like me but when somebody gives me measurements I have an impossible time figuring out if the tank is the size I want. Somebody has emailed me and said he has a 55gal tank measuring: 4'x21"x12-1/2". Do you think this would be a good replacement for Rufus' 40 Breeder?

Rufus' UVB bulb is a ReptiSun 10.0 coil style. I read somewhere else on the forums that coil style bulbs are 'no good'. Why is this? I feel like everytime I upgrade or try to improve Rufus' conditions I'm doing it wrong.

Rufus is getting a good soaking every day to help shed and keep him relaxed after his surgery. I've found that he LOVES wrap up in a warm towel after and cuddle on my chest. He puts his head under my chin and just nuzzles me. :love5: I had to share. Anybody else have a cuddly beardie?

Rufus has been sitting in his basking spot holding his mouth open just very very slightly. His beard is dark and his eyes are closed. What could this be from? He's not always this way, just in his basking spot. Could it be too hot for him?
