    Juju needs help

The temps on the left (cool) side are about 79 degrees Celcius, and on the basking side they are about 109-111. And here's the link to the bulb: http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=11147182 I -might- have gotten a 5.0 version one. And I totally agree, if anything from what I've...

    Juju needs help

Alright. Today I worked on his cage with my handy dandy thermometer, and I got the temps up, with some improvisation (and a little help from a lamp). It still is the sunglo uv light, but hopefully since it is lower down it still might work. What I'm asking, is if this looks safe and satisfactory...

    Juju needs help

Well I did buy the sunglo uvb/a tube 10.0, and I do have a basking lamp, and a ceramic heat emitter because I have been trying to have the temperatures up. I'll just try to get them closer and buy different brand of uv I suppose. Thanks.

    Juju needs help

The bulb is only about 2 months old, but yeah it is a Sunglo. Also It might be within 8 inches, but not everywhere in the tank. I'm pretty sure his temperatures aren't up to 110 either, but I am having difficulties finding ways to get things closer. So any thoughts or helpful suggestions there...

    Juju needs help

Hi, I haven't been around in a while, because things have been going fine with Juju, but I'm getting progressively more worried about him. Since last fall, he hasn't been eating much, and doesn't EVER defecate. I've taken him to the vet, and the vet says his husbandry seems excellent. They did...

    Creating a...Duplex?

Hi all, I'm wanting to make a 2 tank stacked forever-home for my Bearded Dragon and my Uromastyx. Their treatment and diets are similiar, but not exact. (for example Uro's need about 10 degrees Fahrenheit warmer). Sooooooo many questions. I've glanced around at other questions previously...

    wrong bulb?

yes i do place it directly on the basking surface, and to find the area temp I hang it in the air. and yes i wait 45 minutes to check the temperature. I'm just going to raise it up a few inches since nothing else seems to be out of order.

    wrong bulb?

he's in a 55g, with warm side temps in the 90's and cold side in the 80's. and he's 2 years old. I think everything is fine, but some days he just won't bask. I'll take him out to play (making sure he's not lethargic) and place him on his basking spot when i put him back, and he'll just move...

    wrong bulb?

i'd also like to add that he doesn't avoid the light completely, just much more than he used to with his old light. (I.E. yesterday he didn't bask at all, but today he is) Sam

    wrong bulb?

It's a T-REX, 12in away from basking spot, and it was around 105F degrees with a digital probe thermometer.

    wrong bulb?

Hi I bought a 100w MVB (long story, I thought it broke and tried turning it on every now and then and 5 days later it finally worked) but now my bearded dragon doesn't bask. I've heard this may mean he doesn't like the bulb and to take it out, but I wanted to make sure he's just not hiding...

    eye bugging?

I've seen this perhaps a couple of times with my beardie, but this time I got a closer look than most and it's freaky! He rolls his eyes up and closes them and... his eyes just bulge! I think I've heard somebody on BD.org mention thing once, so does anybody have an idea what this is that my pet...

Never seen him do this one before.

my 2 year old juju does that sometimes (not often), and I've never really worried about it. Sometimes he'll even do it in the morning when he wakes up, and I laugh and say he woke up on the wrong side of the viv lol. If your beardie is acting fine otherwise, and doesn't act lathargic or have any...
