Oh, they are adults. I wouldn't breed the juvies! They are all at least 2 years old.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, they do have a lower night temp than day temp. I will start shortening their days and see if they think it might be winter and then pop it into sprein for them... One of the tanks has a newly put together male and female. They have been around each other before, but...

Question... There are lots of opinions on here that you shouldn't house male and female dragons together to avoid the possibility of overbreeding. Here is my dilemma.... I have 3 viv's that each have 1 female and 1 male in them. I can't get them to breed for the life of me. I have taken...

    Head turning pale

Hi Tracie, If you go to the Popcorn and Tatty thread under breeding, there is a pic of her on page 3. She's the one on the red towel. This isn't the most recent, but it will if you a good idea of how FAT she is! We will take another picture on Saturday. Yes, her entire body shed, including...

    Head turning pale

My Beardie's head is turning pale. She is already a snow, but her head is literally almost white! This has been like that since she shed a couple weeks ago. I know it's not remaining shed, because I pulled it all off when she did shed. The rest of her color is normal, she seems to be acting...

HELP: Rescues Laying Eggs and another playing dead?

Thank you for your information. If I ever need to start paying for my feeders, I will let you know. Currently, my kids volunteer at the local reptile shop and they get paid "feeders" for their work. They love the learning experience and we don't have to pay to feed our BD's! :-)

Thanks Tatty, Our eggs are just 1 day newer than yours, so this is perfect to see exactly what our eggs should look like. We will try looking at them tonight. We thought we needed to wait a couple weeks after they were laid to look.

How long until we can candle the eggs to check for development? Anything we need to be especially cautious of? What's the proper way to do it without causing damage to the egg? How long can they be out of the incubator safely?

Her real name is Ice, but I just call her fatty mama until she has her babies and I can put her on a diet. The guy we rescued her from fed her nothing but Superworms and pinkies.... UGH! She's started going after crickets and after the babies come, she will go down to all crickets and salad.

She was more restless trying to get out of her viv yesterday. That's why we decided to put her in the lay box today. When we checked on her in the laybox last night, she looked like maybe there was a little digging, but couldn't tell for sure. I will let you know what happens when we get home...

No, she's acting fine. Walking around, eating normally, she ate 2 pinkies last night. We want to make sure she has plenty of food and energy for the eggs. She is absolutely HUGE and you can see the eggs portruding from her sides. She seems to be doing well. We haven't seen her poo, so I...

She wont lay eggs please help

Is it ok to not have UV light in the laybox while she is in there? That is my concern with my girl in her laybox. We keep it warm with an infrared, but no UV light. I don't want her to get sick while she is laying, so we take her out every evening when we get home from work and put her back...

Question... I have a Beardie who we thought should probably have laid a week ago. She isn't really digging or anything, but my hubby and I both work during the day. Should we put her in her lay box during the day and then when we get home put her back in the viv if she hasn't done anything? I...

HELP: Rescues Laying Eggs and another playing dead?

We actually gave the dragons to someone else who knows more about them. We are thinking that they are going to have to put down the one female as she isn't doing well and does not seem to support her own weight. The other is pulling out of it and seems to be doing well. We are slowly getting...

    EGG PROBLEM

Hi, my Beardie laid an egg about 8 this morning. We put it in an incubator about 5:30 with 90% humidity. Tonight, we saw that there is a large indention in the egg and it is REALLY soft. Did we lose it?

HELP: Rescues Laying Eggs and another plays dead?

Thanks for responding. I think her tank is a little bigger than that, so maybe it's a 30 gallon? I don't know. I do know that we are going to be moving her today and trying to get everyone rearranged so they all can work together. We started out with 2 Juvs, about 6 months old, in a 55 gal...
