    DIY tank with mvb question

I'm planning to build a 4x2x2 tank. I'm debating using an mvb in the tank but not certain what type of fixture I'd need to use in it. I use a deep dome fixture for the mvb my russian tortoise has. Do I need to figure out a way to hang a dome or can I just use a ceramic light fixture? Thanks!

I think I need some help....

http://www.ebugco.com/index.html That's one company in MN. My friend owns a fish/reptile store and that's where they get their crickets if I'm not mistaken.

I think I need some help....

I bought my beardies the beginning of January. I live in Michigan and it gets plenty cold here and I ordered crickets all throughout the winter. Sure I had some die but I figured it out that even is half of them arrived dead I'd still be saving a lot of money by ordering instead of buying from...

Help, I think my dragon is dying!

If you mean a UVB coil light I would wait until you can get either the MVB or Repti-sun. I used a UVB coil bulb for just a couple days thinking it would be ok because it was a brand I had heard bad things about. Never again will I use any UVB coil bulb. My baby beardie went downhill fast and it...

    Michigan Reptile Shows

I went to the Taylor show yesterday. I thought it was really cool. Would have liked to see a little bit more variety though. There was a REALLY nice high high red beardie baby there that I was very tempted to get and probably would have if I hadn't just recently bought two. There were a variety...

    why red?

He should be fed as many crickets as he'll eat in a 15 minute time frame 2-3 times a day. Its possible for him to eat up to 100 crickets a day.

    Michigan Reptile Shows

I haven't been to one yet but I plan on attending the one in Taylor in just a couple weeks. I'll let ya know what I think. There is also the West Michigan Reptile Expo in Grand Rapids. It's fairly new I believe, so I'm not sure how many vendors they have and what their turnout is like.

    New Owner/Dragon Tremors

I just wanted to comment some on the food since no one else has and I'll say first and foremost I'm not an expert, just repeating what I've learned. Because of your beardie's age, he probably isn't going to eat veggies very much. They don't start eating those a lot until they reach adulthood...

Best way to put in a MVB

I'm likely going to build my own enclosure 4x2x2 and would really like to use an MVB. What would be the best way to put one in an enclosure? Or would a separate UVB light and basking light be better in this type of enclosure? Thanks!

feeding amounts for a young beardie

I'm planning on getting my first beardie in a couple months. I'm trying to get everything planned out before hand and I had some questions about the food. crickets in colder temperatures

The noise is the biggest issue I would be facing with the crickets. I guess I was always under the assumption that they all made a lot of noise. Wouldn't the dubais be too large for a young BD?
