    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!BUY THINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wouldn't recommend buying anything from a bait shop - they are bred specifically to be used as bait and will probably not contain all the right nutrients. If you are in the States, I believe the site for hornworms is Greatlakeshornworm.com. They also do superworms. You can get silkworms...

? for people who have lost a beardie and gone on to get anot

I know what you mean. We've lost cats before and although I was devastated at the time, it seems to have hit me more with George. To say it was my husband who wanted her, she was always *my* little angel and I was the main (read only) care giver. I just really hope that she didn't suffer - my...

? for people who have lost a beardie and gone on to get anot

Thank you for the replies everyone. I have always had pets but never reptiles till my hubby decided he wanted a bearded dragon. I always said from the start that he was to be totally responsible for it and anything I did, would be because I wanted to. Anyway, I ended up being totally besotted...

? for people who have lost a beardie and gone on to get anot

When do you find is the right time? We lost George when we were on holiday. We dropped her off at the pet shop for boarding on the Friday before we left on Saturday and were on holiday for 3 weeks. When we went to pick her up, they told me she had died the day after we dropped her off. To...

My Gorgeous George has gone :(

We left her in what we thought were the capable hands of our local petshop before we went on a 3 week holiday in America. We dropped her off on Friday 26th June and she was in fine form - perfect colour, temperemant and everything. We returned from hols 3 weeks later and went to pick her up...

    over eating??? gettin alittle concerned.

Collard greens are one of the best veggies you can feed a beardie. As for the guy feeding his beardie a couple of pinkies/fuzzies a week, this is an extremely unhealthy diet as they are very fatty. It is ok to feed a gravid female an occasional pinky/fuzzy as they are also very high in...

    Laying Unfertilized Eggs

I'd say they seem fatter. I got up this morning to notice my beardie with a very black beard and when I picked her up, her stomach felt extremely distended so I'm guessing she is with eggs again. I really hope I'm wrong although she laid almost exactly a year ago. She has never seen a boy...

Happy St George's Day and happy 2nd birthday to my George!!!

I can't believe George is 2!! She has turned from a teeny tiny thing to a bit of a chubster :D I'm seriously thinking of putting her on a diet she's that chubby  She just loves her locusts, supers and roaches but still won't eat much veggies :banghead: I might try withholding her...

    Urate Plug...?!?? sorry pics

The Reptiglo 8.0 is fine - it's the 10 that has been causing eye problems. Still best to get a ReptiSUN 10.0 though or an Arcadia 12.0

Water Dripper? Plus other quick questions!

You can offer a dish of water but a lot of beardies (mine included) will not drink from them. Some beardies will drink when being bathed but again, many will not. My beardie who is nearly 2, has never drank from a water bowl so I don't put one in with her now. I spray her veggies regularly...

    Another UK topic

As adults, they should be eating around 50 live food items per week so it should be offered at least every other day. My beardie is nearly 2 and has live food every day - around 5-6 extra large locusts or morio worms. She gets a bowl of veggies a day but doesn't eat much of it. Eating twice a...

    Fairly new to the forum

Beautiful beardies, especially the top one :D Sounds like quite a zoo you have there. I have just the one beardie, one cornsnake and a mad cat but I am looking at getting a dog when I get back from my holiday in July

    Hi everybody

Hi and welcome to the board :D I'd say it is difficult to sex a beardie under around 5-6 months. I still can't tell from looking at George, who is nearly 2. In fact, my vet initially sexed her as a boy and she turned out to be a girl  A lot of people on here are really good at sexing...

Do you move them when they sleep?

Always :D Most of the time she chooses to sleep on her fleecy bed and I just cover her with her fleecy blanket but sometimes, she burrows under it or just sleeps on the bare tile. If she does this, I move her to her bed and cover her up and she normally stays like that tille the morning. A...

    Filthy beardie!!!!

Surprisingly well although my hands were covered in gunk. When I got home, she was stood upright against the glass and I just looked at her and thought what the heck? It was a pretty funny sight because her belly was just technicolour :laughhard:

    Filthy beardie!!!!

Well what a delightful surprise I got when I got home from work  . George had done a very small poo but had managed to cover herself in it from head to foot and the entire inside of her viv. On top of this, she had polished her salad, consisting of red bell pepper, celery and red...

How to transport/keep warm to vet trip Tues morning (cold)

The neck wrap will be fine - it is the same principle as the rice in a sock. As for the hot water bottle, I actually have a special teddy bear one for George which is a small waterbottle which is zipped insude the teddy bear, which has a nice fleecy soft top on. The water bottle fits quite...

How to transport/keep warm to vet trip Tues morning (cold)

When I take George out when it is cold, I wrap a hotwater bottle in a towel and put her on it then put an extra towel on her to keep her warm. I use a cat carrier to transport her.
