    Cat scratched eye

I used the unpasteurized honey + water mixture you recommended, and his eye healed up very nicely in 3 days. Thanks so much for the help! I'll be extra-careful with my cat from now on.

    Cat scratched eye

Yeah. He's falling asleep right now. I have him wrapped in a burrito on a heat pad. Poor baby...

    Cat scratched eye

Thanks, I'll try that. I put some saline on it already. He's also drooling from the right side of his mouth, do you know what could be causing that?

    Cat scratched eye

My cat got into my beardie's cage this morning and it looks like she scratched his right eye. Is there anything I can put on it to help the swelling/irritation go down? Or do I just leave it alone?

    Beardie CT scan

I think they're extensions of the hyoid bone.

    Beardie CT scan

My lab sends lots of vertebrate species to be CT-scanned for our research. The scans are then uploaded to a program called Osirix, which allows us to manipulate scans in 2D or 3D. My beardie was scanned last month, and I did a quick 3D volume rendering: Later we'll manipulate the scans by...

    Mold?

For the past 10 weeks I've been away at an internship and wasn't able to bring my beardie along, so my roommates have been taking care of him. Before I left I prepared a bunch of collared greens and spaghetti squash, chopped them up, and wrapped them in individual tin-foil balls as daily veggie...

    Red eyed crocodile skink question

I'm about to get a male/female pair of tribbies, and I just have a quick question. I've been googling their care for a while but there seem to be mixed opinions about heating. So can any tribbie owners clarify whether they need a heat pad or not? I appreciate any advice. :)

    Breeding my beardie?

That's what I thought, though I wouldn't have wanted 50% of the clutch anyway; I'm not in it for the money. He was sold to me as a sandfire morph...

    Breeding my beardie?

Okay, thanks very much. I'm not the kind of person who does anything on a whim, nor am I an irresponsible pet owner. If he is unsuitable for breeding, then I won't breed him.

    Breeding my beardie?

I'm interested in breeding my male bearded dragon. He's a 4-year-old 16" sandfire morph. He's a bit petite, probably because he was quite sick when I received him as an 11" juvie; he had some improper caring, but he healed quickly and I take him to the vet regularly. His illness had nothing to...

Can anyone help me with this question? Please? :(

    Appropriate length for age?

Mine was about 6 months old when I got him. He was about 11" long and 80-something grams.
  17. Saddlepatch

    Appropriate length for age?

Yes, though I suspect that his petite-ness may be the result of the fact that he was verrry sick when I got him as a juvie (he had pinworms, coccidia, giardia, anorexia, and impaction - pretty much the works). So yeah, all those illnesses probably stunted his growth. But he's okay now. :)...

    Appropriate length for age?

lol well my beardie is 3 1/2 years old and 16 1/2 inches long. He's a midget.

    Calcium spray?

I was at the pet store the other day and saw a product that I'd never noticed before. I didn't inspect the item much, I only glanced at it, but from what I saw, it looked like it was a calcium spray for reptiles. Right now, I use a calcium/vitamin D3 powder, and it's so messy and it sticks to my...

    Beardie Plush!

It would be nice to make them in bulk and sell them on Etsy, but I don't have a sewing machine, and there were a lot of complicated hand-sewing tricks that I had to do while making this, so it'd just be way too much work for me. :P Although I'm not happy with the head shape, this plush totally...
