We just got our order of dubias. How much water crytals should we make up for them? Im reading the pakage and it says 1 dry ounce to 1 gallon of water. That seems like alot. How long do these crytals last before they go bad? I dont want to make too much. :?

We have our new baby in the top tank and will need to attach the 36" light fixture to the inside of the tank but are unsure on how to do this exactly. Any ideas/advice? Sorry for the glare, photo was taken at night. The top of the tank has a glass center with two screen openings on each side.
