    Clear/transparent urate?

This is from this morning, I’m not sure how well the picture picked it up but it has a mucous-like film across it, much thicker and less watery than last time though. He still has a good appetite and energy.

    Clear/transparent urate?

A few minutes ago, I had Jasper out for some roaming time and thought he was going to the bathroom, but when I checked it was just clear and watery. Should I be concerned? He hasn’t eaten anything out of the ordinary in the last few days and hasn’t touched his food yet today, and had just his...

    Mild diarrhea, no vets open

I’ve been meaning to update this for weeks now, but I had dental surgery and keep forgetting. Jasper is doing pretty good, didn’t end up finding parasites. Hasn’t had any diarrhea for a couple weeks now, which is great. We got his diet switched up (cut out most fats and sugar to help with...

    Mild diarrhea, no vets open

Thank you so much for all your help, I really appreciate it. He seems to be pretty good this morning, got him to eat some butternut and yellow squash, and he actually ate a little bit of collard greens, not very much yet though.

    Mild diarrhea, no vets open

I’m not completely sure… I’m still waiting to hear back from the vet about the lab tests. They said they saw something in a fecal sample that looked like it could be Cryptosporidium, but its not confirmed yet. Most of the info I have right now is from a physical exam and bloodwork, but it’s a...

    Mild diarrhea, no vets open

He’s been doing fairly well the last couple weeks. I’ve been trying hard not to worry too much. He’s gotten a lot better, but still having some issues. The appointment is coming (FINALLY) early Tuesday morning. he’s still eating and active, basking too. I disinfected and steam cleaned...

    Mild diarrhea, no vets open

Thank you, I will keep a close eye on it. I had a hard time finding what kind of probiotics were safe, so all I have given him so far is about a teaspoon of soy yogurt (couldn’t find any in stock till yesterday), and I mixed a bit of bee pollen in to see if that would help him eat it. I’ve also...

    Mild diarrhea, no vets open

Also, I know Coccidia can be pretty serious, but I’ve never dealt with it before. Is that something that can potentially wait for an appointment, or should I take him in to emergency? It first started about two weeks ago now, and as of this morning, they still didn’t have any sooner openings.

    Mild diarrhea, no vets open

Thank you, will do. What kind of probiotic do you recommend? And how often? He seems to be a little, but it’s kind of hard to say for sure on days when I’m at work. I’ve moved a small CHE next to his hide to see if that helps, since that side is usually cooler.

    Mild diarrhea, no vets open

It kind of seems like it’s getting worse. I have an appointment coming up for the vet, but it’s a couple weeks away, unless I can find a cancellation or take him to emergency care. Not sure why they're booked out so far. Other than that, he doesn’t seem to be doing too badly, a little less...

    Mild diarrhea, no vets open

Hello, yes, I have been trying to, mostly by spraying his veggies when I feed him - I don’t have much success with other ways. I’m having a hard time making sure he’s been actually basking, he stays in his hide a lot, so I’ve been setting up a basking light for him by his window spot while I...

    Mild diarrhea, no vets open

Kind of difficult to get a clear picture, it was more wet than it looks since it happened on a towel. There was some smell, but not extreme. He still seems to be doing okay besides that, alert, still eating well and active. He is also still mid-shed, most of his belly and tail are peeling right now

    Mild diarrhea, no vets open

Will do. Maybe an hour to an hour and a half? He doesn’t come out every day though, just a few times each week. The last week or so, mostly dandelion greens, a little bit of clover, butternut squash, a tiny bit of red bell pepper, a couple snap peas, dubia roaches, and a couple super worms. He...

Although he has been sitting in his hide a lot the last couple days, which is on the cooler side, if that could impact it

    Mild diarrhea, no vets open

I have them set on a thermostat with a probe, but I do check them still with an infrared. This morning the hot side was 96, the cooler side 75, I also have a small basking light set up for him near the window he likes to sit by when he’s not in his tank. I’m not positive on his age, I think...

    Mild diarrhea, no vets open

The last two times Jasper has had a bowel movement, it has been watery, almost like mucous. It also had a tiny bit of undigested food, what looked like a couple slivers of bell pepper skin and superworm shell/exoskeleton. I tried to get a picture, but it was while he was out of his tank sitting...

Combining adult roaches in Dubia colonies?

Hi! A few months ago when it started cooling off, I started slowly cleaning out some of my feeder bugs since Jasper wasn’t eating much and about to go into brumation. I gave him what was left and left the bin empty - I thought. I just got a new container of small roaches (1/4” - 1/2”) to...

    Specific varieties of vegetables?

With vegetables, especially greens, are all varieties of each safe for feeding? For instance, different types of clover - white, green, red, etc.; or dandelion greens from common, red seed, or Japanese varieties? I’m slowly collecting supplies for a garden this coming spring and would love to...
