My cat attacked my beardie when I was away and my bf let him out. He has a small puncture on his upper rib area. He is acting normals but I don’t know how to treat it. Is vetricyn okay? I haven’t done anything to it yet
Please get some raw unfiltered honey on it - it's going to kill infection-- please no crickets in the tank and please keep the cat out of the room- your dragon has been traumatizedMy cat attacked my beardie when I was away and my bf let him out. Okay I am getting honey, here are the pictures. He does have some stress marks, which is usual in the morning I don’t think he’s a morning guy. Vetricyn plus, it cleans, and it’s an antimicrobial you can use it on wounds or even eyes, I always have it on hand for my animals but I was wondering if it’s reptile safe?ok the lack of black beard is good. i second the honey suggestion. it's gotta be the raw unfiltered or manuka kind though. regular honey doesn't have the same healing properties. i haven't heard of vetricyn, so i don't have any input for that.
We can see if AHBD can help w/ the medicine question - its good hes acting normal - just keep an eye on him and away from the cat -Okay I am getting honey, here are the pictures. Edit I spent a few minutes with him and stress marks are going away—acting alert and eager for his breakfast this morning. Some more pictures of his wound.
Yes I tried telling that to my bf but he wouldn’t listen—thank you I’ll do that right awayVetrycin and raw honey are both excellent. The thing that would be a possible problem is that cat bites can cause serious infection so you might need antibiotics. Even a small puncture wound can allow bacteria to enter the blood stream.
