What's the basking temp? What kind of uvb are you using? I highly suggest ReptiSun 10. You should go to a vet and get a fecal testing done. Coccidia is common.

Feeding stays the same. Actually Acidophiliz makes my beardie eat more. You only need a few drops.

My 2 year old beardie does a lot of that gaping stuff too. It's not heat related. He even does it when he's nice and comfy on his favorite pillow on the couch. I think it's a personality quirk. I was really concerned at first. Since, he only does this when he's a happy camper...i take it as a smile.

Coccidia is a nightmare! :angry5: I spent well over 300 on fecals and meds. I finally gave up. His poops are solid and not runny anymore. I do carry albon and acidophiliz for back up just in case he gets smelly again. I give him acidophiliz every week in his pellets and been doing this trick...

I use newspaper. My beardie uses it as a blanket. He'll even go as far as shoving half his body in there.

The vet told me it's common to see some pinworms in a beardie and it's no threat. Is it possible I can just ask for these medications from a vet?

I went to the vet about a month ago because of smelly and runny poops. He was found with a massive amount of coccidia and a few pinworms. (I bought him from a pet store 3 months ago) He was given albon for 6 days. I waited a week and took him in for another fecal. Nothing happened so another...

He does a lot of gaping when he's outside the tank as well. I've been noticing it's getting worse. I don't hear him making any noise, so I really don't know or think its a repiratory infection :? I changed up his tank till he gets better. I'm using paper towel as of now (soon to be newspaper)...
