I would say that of all the pets i've owned my lizard is the least offensive in just about every area. They won't stink so long as you take care of the poop right away and clean the cage every so often. There usually pretty clean and when they do poop just give them a bath right away.

I'm a H.P. Lovecraft nut, and one of the iconic monsters he wrote about was called Dagon. It was a gigantic reptilian monster god from the ocean so I thought the name would be appropriate for my lizard, although beardies arn't exactly aquatic.

I figure that in the wild Dragons will come across all sorts of insects that might be venomous, so they probably have some level of immunity to them. I think so long as they don't get stung or eat to many the occasional bee or wasp won't hurt them.

I've never taken Dagon anywhere he loves to jump, and I know he would jump off my shoulder at some point. He also likes to try and crawl down my back. Maybe I'll take him out someday when we've bonded a bit more.
