We are concerned about Perseus tail

So here's an update on Perseus tail. It's not looking as sore as before and it's looking somewhat dark. I've posted this pic with this update and I hope it's getting better. The vet visit is not for another week. What can we expect from the vet?

We are concerned about Perseus tail

So, we've been using the betadine and manuka honey on Perseus' tail and it looks as though it is clearing up. However, we're going to make an appointment with a vet we had spoken to at the expo. Which is also listed with the site Karri has hooked us up with. Thanks everyone

We are concerned about Perseus tail

Hi Tracie We can't think of anything that may have injured him. Unless it was in his enclosure of which we don't feed him inside and we try to keep decor free from what we would think is injury free but anything is possible. We're doing the betadine and manuka honey treatment until we get him an...

We are concerned about Perseus tail

I was hoping that the sun would do some justice for the image but after looking at the enclosure pics I believe my photography skills need more than just a little help

We are concerned about Perseus tail

Right on... I know exactly where you're at. My daughter in law is from Orem. Anyway I will get pics of Perseus' tail today from different angles. I have pictures of his enclosure I will post as well. We will be at the reptile expo in S.Jordan this Saturday.

We are concerned about Perseus tail

We don't use heat rocks. He is housed alone. I will post more pictures of him and his enclosure later today as I am at work right now. I'm hoping that Karrie can post a list of reptiles vets in my area,(SLC,UT). Thank you Salt Lake City is a pretty big city. Of course it's not L.A. or N.Y.C...

We are concerned about Perseus tail

Well we have bathed him and we've started the manuka honey. He seems okay all around though. Not lethargic and he eats good however he hasn't pooped for two days now. I have reached out to the administration here at BD for possibly another vet since I'm questioning the one we've been going to.

We are concerned about Perseus tail

I failed to mention that he has had it since we got him but we thought it may just be shed and he was given a check up at the vet who didn't seem concerned but it seems to have grown a little more since.

So we don't know if Perseus is starting to show signs of YFD, or tail rot?

    Nature zone worm guard

I don't know that we need it exactlybut, we have it and bought it after we treated our babies for pinworms from a treatment from the vet. We just don't want to be giving something to them if it is toxic/harmful.

    Nature zone worm guard

Can anyone tell me if the worm guard mentioned in the subject matter a bad idea? It has cloves as one of the ingredients... toxic or not?
