    UTH help for cricket tank

I've finally got my beardie's tank setup just right. Now I need to set up the tank I have for crickets. I have a 55 gallon tank that I want to put a UTH under. The tank is split in half by a wooden board that I have put silicone caulk around. This will allow me to use one side while I clean the...

    CFL bulbs for basking?

I recently bought the bulbs pictured to use as basking bulbs for our new beardie. I tried to do some searching on using CFL bulbs for basking, but wasn't able to find anything. I do know that the bulbs fit within the kelvin units that the care sheet recommends. Are these okay to use? Help!

Thanks! I'm going to build a little stand just to get it up off the ground.

    UTH for crickets?

Also, will the UTH need to cover across the whole bottom of the tank, or will just a large majority of the middle section be okay?

    UTH for crickets?

I've got a surplus 55 gallon tank that I'm going to split into two sides for crickets (while one side is being cleaned out from my last batch, I'll use the opposite side for the current batch). This tank will be kept against an interior wall in our basement, where the temp will be around 70...

Tank setup, and do I need a CHE?

Thanks for the reply. I know in the past, we've always taken the carpet out right after a BM and cleaned it off and ran it through the washing machine. While waiting for it to dry, I usually just put some newspaper in there. I also noticed it did start to get a bit fuzzy the older it got. Back...

Tank setup, and do I need a CHE?

I'm still working at setting up our tank for our new arrival in a couple of weeks. I scrapped the 55 gallon tank we got because it's only 12 inches wide and found a 40 gallon breeder for sale nearby in great shape. I built a custom stand to get the tank up off of the ground and at eye level for...

    Here is Gigantor!

Those were when we first got him/her about a month ago. Gigantor is huge now. Fat belly, and had it's first bath tonight (I was very worried the whole time, but it seemed to like it). I'm looking forward to seeing how quickly it grows and if it's a male or female.

    Here is Gigantor!

At least that's what I call him/her. I already see a lot of yellow and orange and he/she is still only 4 months (10 inches from head to end of tail). I'm new to this, so I hope the pictures turn out. By the way, those are my wife's hands. Mine are a tad more masculine.
