    Anyone own a Frilled?

They need about 3-4 feet in height in a best case scenario. Branches to climb and bask, one thats diagonal and put their water near the light. They don't like cold water. Otherwise its pretty much like keeping a beardie. Some will eat greens, some won't. They're personable and they run around...

    Anyone use reptiglo?

Interesting that you say that, because the dangers that have been noted with reptiglo's are not due to putting out too little, but too MUCH uvb. You won't hear anybody say that they don't give enough UVB. Truuuuuust me. This topic has started wars here in this community lol. Its a good debate to...

    Anyone use reptiglo?

Used em for a couple of years with my dragons of all ages, hatchling to adults, in conjunction with a bright light source next to it, and never had a problem. Just sayin.

3rd SEATTLE METRO REPTILE EXPO - APRIL 28th!

Nope. Too much liability involved. You could transport parasites or they could bite somebody else. Stuff like that.

Is kale ok for bearded dragons?

I can admit when I am being unfair and can take correction. I did more digging (I've read that article you linked before) in some other case studies and agree now that if fed a diet exclusively comprised of kale, hypothyroidism can possibly develop. I let my earlier post stand, however, as it...

    Cage for 2 Bearded Dragons

Yes we're talking feet. I appreciate that you've been reading books and not just the intewebs. You're researching methods are tried and true. I will offer that my pairing problems were with two young males as well. I also had two males who had no issues living together but they were brothers and...

    Cage for 2 Bearded Dragons

Well....you are in danger of some feedback that will likely be in direct opposition to your plans. But to give you a best case scenario, I'd suggest building a 4x2x2 cage so that you don't find yourself in need of an upgrade down the road. Provide more than one basking area to help mitigate...

Is kale ok for bearded dragons?

Squash can also be served raw. You can grate it with a cheese grater or depending on the texture like with spaghetti squash you can just break it up into small pieces. Beardies love squash. Mine tend to pick it out from the greens when they get the opportunity.

Is kale ok for bearded dragons?

Kale is rich in thiamin. Kale is also rich in vitamin A. Goitrogenic compounds are primarily problematic combined with the presence of thyroid problems like hypothyroidism. I can find no research suggesting that goitrogenic compounds bind thiamin, only iodine, which again lends itself to the...
