    Rey and his hammock

So, I bought Rey a hammock after spending a week in a hammock on vacation (and loving every second of it) - I figured he deserved such a wonderful comfort in his tank. Well, needless to say, he loves his hammock just as much as I did. He only leaves his hammock to poop, eat, and bask - besides...

Loves to nest in my hair!!!

LOL My beardie does this too! I'll put him on my shoulder and he just crawls up the back up my neck and literally plays with my hair! He goes under it, and in it, and runs his fingers through it - people never believe me, so I'm glad I'm not the only one!

    Weight?

Hi Everyone! I was just wondering what a healthy/normal weight is for a 1 year old dragon? I have a 1 year old male and he is 400 grams.

How many beardies sleep outside thier cage?

I've taken a nap with my beardie, but every time I moved in my sleep I would wake myself up in fear of rolling over him - so that was a one-time thing. Other than that, I sometimes do have him free roaming while I'm doing laundry or something, and he'll get all cozy in my bed while I'm busy. I...

    Bearded Dragon Names !

When I first got my beardie I wanted a really cool name, so I looked up Mythical Dragon names - but all of those were too hard to say. I wound up naming my beardie Ryuu - the Japanese word for "dragon". When Ryuu got older, I thougt he may have been a girl, so his name changed to Reina, the...

Spike's favorite place to hang out!

LOL - my beardie loves my boobies too! It's a nurturing location...I think they like the cushining and the feel of our heartbeat - plus, they can't slide down as easily, better slope to lay on LOL

    Not pooping!!!!

Cheech, our rescue, has not pooped in almost a week. We had him out last weekend and he ingested a small chunk of concrete....he hasn't pooped since. Our vet is not available until Thursday, and we feel like we need to do something now...WHAT SHOULD WE DO!?!?!?!?!?

Scratching up his fake rock wall

Yep, it's coming out of the tank. It's gotten to the point of complete destruction lol! I was wondering where I could get a background of real rocks/rock ledges? Or maybe some instructions on how to make one myself would be helpful? Thanks, guys! You're all so informative!

Scratching up his fake rock wall

So, Rey has been tearing the life out of his foam rock wall background. It's kind of funny, because when I come home he always has those tiny little foam balls all over his head and back; and I swear he likes the squeeky noise it makes because he just looks evil when he's scratching and making...

    Breeding project

Tom, I appreciate your insight. I found a book by Candice DaSilva (actually, it's from a website that I found on the links page of your site). The book is mostly a bearded dragon care guide, but there is a breeding section where the author outlines every single step to the process. I understand...

    Breeding project

Thanks, Tom! I've been searching the web for information, and I sometimes find contradicting information. Do you know of any helpful sites that you would recommend?

    Breeding project

Also, we were curious, are baby dubias too big for poopers? I think yes (too big), he thinks maybe not. We have a dubia colony and think maybe we can save a little by using baby dubias and crickets?
