    Skipper's Adventures

I never got a snake brother. It was impractical as I was headed off to college. I know it’s been a while but some nights I just really miss skipper.

    Skipper's Adventures

Thanks to all who helped and advised me along the way. Skippers life was better for it. Unfortunately, skipper passed away today just a couple months short of 11 years old. She will be missed greatly. I’ll lay her to rest on her beardie bed. Picture spam incoming. The vet thought her sudden...

Gout. high protein/no-insect, temporary diet substitution??

Weening off of bugs is unlikely to harm your beardie. Healthy, strong brandies can be raised with a single bug feeding per day.

How to safely disinfect carpet from yellow fungus

Ahbd is probably right as per usual, but you could look into F10 products. Not sure if they kill yf but I'm sure the manufacturer could tell you if you give them a call

Cant figure out whats wrong with my beardie

Perhaps you could try rearranging the whole cage setup for some enrichment. Add more things to climb, a dig box, maybe a big water bowl? Has she ever been outside? Introduce a new food. Skipper's favorite is persimmons. I peel the skin and dice them. (They are a rare treat!) Once or twice a...

    What is the best substrate?

Mulch and wood chips should never be used. They pose a serious impaction risk. The same goes for calci sand. If you would like to use a loose substrate, a topsoil and play sand mix is your best bet. However, I do not recommend this unless the rest of your husbandry is spot on.

    Echeveria succulents

Are Echeveria succulents safe for beardies? I'm planning on putting two in skippers cage. One Echeveria Doppler and the other Echeveria blue heron

Is this a morph of any kind?

He appears to be a normal bearded dragon. All black eyes or clear nails are indicators of morph as well as very smooth or a lack of scales.

    Two Beardies One Tank

Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn't. My best advice is to provide ample room if you are going to keep them together. A lot more room than you think. Your best bet is to build a large enclosure yourself while also having a second one ready in case things go downhill. I trust Frances Baines'...

2 hours of basking time after last meal?

I would certainly take Nobby's advice over mine! While 2 hours is most likely enough, nobby is 100% correct that earlier is better.

    Desperate Plz help

Unfortunately there isn't much we can do. You can try supplementing with serrapeptase (sp?) to ease pain a little bit. If your dragon is in pain it is probably worth taking a longer drive to get to a vet sooner.

2 hours of basking time after last meal?

As long as you have proper temps that should be fine!
