    Colors - as they age?

My Gizmo at 2-6mo. As you can see he got brighter and his marking lighter!

    Another new baby

Lol, thank you! If anyone has advice on silkies I'm open to it. I know they take a little extra care. I got her yesterday and she's already shedding! I have been soaking her with shed ease. It seems to be helping.

    Another new baby

I already have 2 beardies that are 8 months old. Gizmo a normal and Daisy a leatherback. I just added a baby silkie. She is supposed to be about 2 months old but is very tiny. The breeder had her listed as a girl but as well all know at 4.5 inches they almost all look like girls. For now her...

    Colors - as they age?

Hi there. Pushkin looks like my Gizmo! He was a brown color as a baby and got brighter and brighter with each shed. His picture is my profile and signature. He was 6 months at the time. I bet your cutie will be similar in color. It's so much fun to see them change!

    My new baby girl

I got my little man Gizmo back in December and just love him. I went to a reptil expo yesterday and fell in love. Everyone meet Daisy. She is a 5 month old hypo citrus tiger leatherback. She is the biggest sweetie!

    Dubia

Thank you that does help. I looked at buy dubai and dubi deli. I haven't seen Kimberll I'll check them out! I don't like the jumping crickets but what really gets me is the smell. They STINK!

Hope they work well for him! :)

    will this kick ever stop??

I tend to do a ton of research before diving into things! Everything I have read and everyone I have talked to said dubai roaches are by far the best for beardies. They are higher in protein then crickets while containing same amounts of chitin as crickets. They come in different sizes just like...

    Fear of space?

Ok glad to hear he is shedding normally. I thought he was until someone who obviously doesn't know much told me he wasn't. I'll keep up the bathes. I wash his veggies and don't dry them off before giving them to him. He has water bowl I see him in. Humidity sits at 10%. I'm wondering if it...

    Fear of space?

Thank you for the suggestions. The suggestion about the hides make sense. I was planning on taking them out anyway. He never uses them. Well to lay on but that's about it. Giving him a smaller space has really helped. He's just about back to himself. He's always been my little buddy so the total...

    Fear of space?

I wait an hour after the light comes on to feed him but may try waiting 90 minutes. I know he needs his groceries to grow :) I'm thinking about making the switch to dubia roaches. I read they are higher protein and easier to breed. I've had him almost 2 months so still learning. You've helped...

    Fear of space?

He's doing better. Eating still a tiny bit off. He didn't eat breakfast and ate 10 crickets at lunch. Dinner he ate 72 though. I'm wondering if he's just making the switch to twice a day meals. He did puff his beard at me this morning when I was putting his veggies in his dish. I just looked at...

    Dubia

Thanks. I haven't been able to locate any dubia roach breeders in VA. I know there are a ton of websites but that doesn't mean they are all good. I was just wondering who people buy from.

    Fear of space?

He IS out. He's on the floor of my house. He runs to the wall and tries to climb up it. When that doesn't work he sticks his nose in a corner and scratches like mad.

    Fear of space?

During exercise time before the move he would sometimes run straight to a wall and try to climb up it or shove his nose in a corner and scratch at the wall. When I picked him up he'd run to my shoulder and lay down like normal. Other days he'd run laps around me then run jump in my lap and lay...
