    ReptiGlo or ReptiSun?

Actually the MegaRay including shipping costs the same as a Reptisun 10 that you would get at a pet store, it also costs the same as a uvb strip AND a heat lamp online. A UVB strip and heat lamp are NOT the same as an MVB. With an MVB the minimum didstance from the bulb is 12-18 inches depending...

    New to beardies. Head shivering?

So..... I just got my MegaRay, they are soooo back-ordered but Bob managed to find me a 160 watt (for free! ..once I explained my situation) in place of the 100 watt until they get more in. After 10 minutes Norbert decided out of the blue to eat his salad, and now his head is turning yellow...

    ReptiGlo or ReptiSun?

I had a ReptiGlo for 2 or 3 days, with a rescue I just got. His head started to spasm and shiver. The herp vet I took him to said it was likely the bulb was damaging his eyes. Go for the MegaRay, it's a uvb and uva, lasts twice as long, and is about $45 including shipping to US.

    Dragon goes bananas!!

So I was at the store and thought I would get a little taste treat for my dragon: banana (just a treat I know too much banana is a no-no). He went crazy TRYING to eat some up! However, banana is sticky and wet and wouldn't stick to his tongue. lol My poor Norbert kept trying and trying, his...

    Depression in beardies?

It shouldn't be his temps, I use a temp gun I got with my megaray from reptileuv. Maybe he knows he breaks my heart when he does it and he knows I'll pick him up. He does also try to jump up my arm when I try and put him in his viv. Thanks!

    Depression in beardies?

Well, I got a 3 y/o rescue mid December.. He had some serious relocation stress. Not only did we move him, I set up a whole new viv (he was in a 20 gal for 3 years!!!!). He finally started eating, but ate to much in too short of time (says my vet), and puked them up whole. He gets a clean bill...

    New to beardies. Head shivering?

My vet says it depends on your dragon. If you have a perfect set up (at first, I didn't), he/she is eating "normally," you are supplementing correctly, and all other ailments aside, it could be a learned behavior or it could be a neurological disorder. I would suggest getting a fecal done at the...

    Stress marks/Cranky lines?

I rescued a dragon 2 weeks ago and have taken him to the vet, he checks out just fine, coccidia a tiny bit high, due to relocation stress. I went over my viv in another post with a mod and his viv is perfect, if there is such a thing. I didn't know anything about stress marks until I was...

    New to beardies. Head shivering?

8 supers and 4 crickets until he turned his nose up at them. Woo. Not basking though after he ate them hiding in his "house"?!?!? I'll hold him for a while to get him to warm up... Still freaks me out he may not digest properly if he doesn't bask after eating right?

    New to beardies. Head shivering?

Thanks for all the help and suggestions I just ordered some hornworms from Great Lakes overnight so they'll be here by then. Also, I have heard good things about Reptaid in the Forsale board.. Do you have any thoughts on that?

    New to beardies. Head shivering?

So.. Before this huge storm hit in the PNW (US) I was just able to put the tile down in his viv and ordered the Megaray like suggested but it is back-ordered. I have been bathing him every other day, still not eating a whole lot maybe 4 superworms and the occasional cricket every second to...

Found Studies/proof of harmful compact UVB bulbs if interest

I remeber someone being really defensive about having compact uvb and not wanting to go get the long tube uvb or megaray until they saw "actual proof." Can't find it or remember where it was so... Here's the link. http://www.uvguide.co.uk/phototherapyphosphor.htm

    New to beardies. Head shivering?

The porcelain is rough just like the the slate tile. I was just wondering whether or not to get the glazed or unglazed? The unglazed is heartier, can take more wear, the glazed has the same stone-like texture. I was wondering about voc's or fumes from glazes?

    New to beardies. Head shivering?

I threw out that sand like you sand and right now I have paper towels until I find a proper tile. Would porcelain tile made to look like stone be okay as a tile sub? Glazed or unglazed? Both ways are impervious to water, stain resistant, and hygienic. Or should I go with real slate or something...

    New to beardies. Head shivering?

I don't know about that, Norbert is pretty demanding of getting his cuddle time in. When I walk by or sit next to his enclosure he'll run to the glass and "paw" at it until I hold him. Such a lil' heart-breaker. :)
