I just ordered my first batch of silkies along with some chow but I know NOTHING about how to care for them. Please help me!

My tank is a 40gal and I got a 100 watt, it should be here on the 14th.

The light is a 100 watt and it says 'all things nature' or something like that on it. Bob seems to be acting a bit better today. He was basking a bit ago and now he's doing his daily bobbing around the cage.

It's a 40 gal tank. They lights are right next to each other. I'll look at the wattage once it cools down.

It's a tube bulb, brand new, just put it in. Not sure about the heat light, it came with him. He usually sits directly under it. The UV light is probably about 6-8 inches from where he sits. This is the thermometer I am getting: http://www.petmountain.com/show_product/509769

Right now he has a Repti-Glo 8.0, I know, bad. I got a new thermometer coming too. These are the same lights he has had on him for months now though. He is eating though. He finally settled down for hte night but tomorrow I will try the soak instead of the shower.

It has a ceramic top. If it sticks out then I will get a deep dome one.

I went ahead and got a T-rex because the mega-ray was on backorder and I got 10% off the T-Rex. Will it fit in a standard 10in dome? I bought a standard because my pet store had them and they were $10 cheaper than the deep dome, but I can exchange it if it won't work.

MVB Bulbs: Mega Ray 100 watt or T-Rex 100 watt? Fixtures: Standard 10 inch dome or 8 inch DEEP dome? Zoo med fixture up to 160 watt or Flukers, not wattage listed?

I think it's two magnets. They have 2 others listed as well but one is a plant holder and one doesn't have a picture. I thought that looked neat but just wasn't sure how well they worked, I was afraid they would slide too. I just wanna find something to make my cage interesting that I can buy...

I think if I flip the branch around the way I had it in this pic: But put the taller peice on the cooler side that I could make that work. I don't know how happy he'd be about it though, lol.
