    Something is really wrong

We euthanized her at work. She begs gasping and gator rolling and vomiting and I couldn't watch her suffer anymore. The exotic vet said it sounded like an aneurysm which is common in beardies.

    Something is really wrong

She's never laid eggs before. I didn't even know they did that without being bred. My bf took care of her after I had surgery. Yes I had jaw surgery. He said she was totally normal. No fall. Her last 2 bowels were normal, her urates are normal large and hard. What do I do for impactions? I...

    Something is really wrong

I noticed yesterday my female beardie was on the floor of her cage, flattened and didn't look right. Normally she is on her perch. I took her out and her stomach was very big to the point where her belly skin felt tight. She is also not moving a lot. She is also kind of hunched over, I work at a...

    Beardie breathing question

So, I saw a video of someones beardie, basically breathing, chest expanding and contracting and everyone replied and said it looked like an upper respiratory infection. My question is, are you not suppose to see your beardie breathing at all? When my girl is basking, you cant see her...

Very active all of a sudden?

No temp change. My probe thermometer, and bulb have always been in the same spot.... Could have been a bad bulb I guess.....I noticed when I changed her bulb this time around, her colors got very bright, she hasnt shed, but she looks prettier.

    Litter train?

What about switching to fake grass carpet? Its the same "reptile carpet" from Petsmart, but I buy it from Lowes, a 25 foot roll for 12$. My beardie also poos in the bath, but when she goes on the carpet, I spot clean it a few times before I just toss the whole carpet and cut a new piece.

Very active all of a sudden?

No temp change, I changed the UVB bulb about a week ago. It was the same we always use (reptisun 10) just a new bulb. Only other thing thats changed is, its spring, and I like to open the curtains and blinds to let sun inside, since everything outside is green and alive. I hate looking at...

Very active all of a sudden?

Wanted to add, when I reach in and scoop her out, she is still calm, so although she is more active, she hasnt become aggressive or skittish or anything (which would be a personality change for her). When I take her out and put her on my lap she is still.

Very active all of a sudden?

My beardie is female and approximately one year and 6 months old. She has always been very calm, just basking all day, eats good, etc. She never really moved around a lot, we always assumed she was just calm and laid back. Last week all of a sudden she is very active, she jumps off her basking...

    Keeps shutting one eye!!?!?!!? HELP!??!?!

The reptisun 10 is pretty cheap online. I buy mine online for like 20$ http://www.petmountain.com/product/reptile-fluorescent-bulbs/11442-504983/reptisun-10-0-uvb-bulb.html Having a 3 pack of a bulb that doesn't have the right UVB output is kind of redundant. I had a zilla UVB bulb when I...

    Keeps shutting one eye!!?!?!!? HELP!??!?!

I googled your UVB, its made by zilla. http://www.pet-dog-cat-supply-store.com/shop/index.php?page=shop-flypage-32315 From what I understand, they dont have the right output for a beardie.

    Keeps shutting one eye!!?!?!!? HELP!??!?!

Id switch out the UVB bulb and get a reptisun 10. Like someone mentioned, most UVB bulbs are not recommended for beardies. There are 2 that are good, reptisun 10 and the Arcadia. Get one of those.
