Suggestion for Turkistan Red Runner Roach Source?

They are one of the prettier roaches IMO although many hate them... My lizard seems to enjoy them... I can send one your way if you are curious

    Odd Superworm Behavior

Whenever I raise the humidity in my roach bin the meal worms on the bottom go crazy... Could be related... Try spraying them with water when they are calm and see if it repeats...

Suggestion for Turkistan Red Runner Roach Source?

Do you have any adults? The females are the largest and will be darker than anything else... The males have wings and are usually a lighter brown... although the above can change based on molting etc.... Regardless, if you have adults these things reproduce like no tomorrow.

Those are fairly young.... Will be quite some time before they start reproducing

Suggestion for Turkistan Red Runner Roach Source?

Currently I just use a 100w night-time bulb with an old dome from my beardies tank. That seemed to work better than a heat wire around the sides and bottom. Most of the roaches tend to settle more towards the bottom of the bin and they have been breeding quite well...

Suggestion for Turkistan Red Runner Roach Source?

Agreed, just don't let the females out  I buy mine locally... Or I should say bought, I started with ~500 a year ago and fed off them while they multiplied and now I have a ton! This is even after a good die off... I do keep mine heated at around ~85 F they seem to breed much better...

    Goldfish?

You could but beardies have rather sensitive digestive tracks compared to water dragons and the impaction risk is pretty high... Personally, I wouldn't... I went looking for a second opinion and found this: http://pogopogona.com/feeding-bearded-dragons/can-bearded-dragons-eat

Cricket chirping is driving me crazy

I would also go with some kind of roach... Get a heating cable and put it around a plastic tote(20 gal usually works well) Put in some type of substrate(I use an inch or so of planting soil) and stack some egg crates Ordering 500 should be fine! If your beardie doesn't eat them all the rest...

Keeping temperature up in dubia bin

I keep lats not dubias but I also have a light on top with a dome. 40 gal container, an 100w night time bulb and my temps sit right around 85... I've also tried CHE but found that this was easiest and kept the roaches happy.

    Repti-worm question

They do move more than meal worms... I usually get the med sized one for my beardie... I have had a few escape and hatch in his cage... He seems to enjoy the hunt but they do buzz really loud...

How many superworms a day? or week?

I would try my hand at breeding them... At that age they really shouldn't be having much of them at all :|

Pros & Cons of other feeder roaches?

I have a colony of Lats out in my garage... They reproduce quickly and my beardie loves them... I did have a little bit of a problem when a few escaped awhile back... When cleaning my garage last week I noticed they must have reproduced.... Luckily, they cannot climb very well so none made it...

Unwanted invaders in my Roach Bin

They seem to stick down to the substrate and I haven't noticed any change in the reproduction rate of my colony... If they are not dangerous I suppose they can stay... Thank you everyone and I will follow up if I figure anything else out.

    Are my Repti Worms dead?

Just leave them at room temperature for a few days and see if they ground starts moving... Mine where left out in the snow after a bad shipping experience and I thought they had all bit the dust... The next day they were all alive and moving around again :D

Unwanted invaders in my Roach Bin

Ok, that's good to hear... My beardie also seems to enjoy them although they do seem to have a thicker exoskeleton compared to my redrunners.... If they aren't dangerous I don't mind having them in the bin. :D Thank you! :mrgreen...
