    traveling bearded dragon

My Reggie is our class pet too, and goes home on the weekends. Reggie loves traveling with me, and has not shown any problems with bonding. In fact, he loves being around people, and will usually only eat when I feed him. Sounds like Lola is going to have fun this summer! Just make sure you...

White tip tongue with black center dot

What you are describing is very normal for beardies. If you are worried please post a picture, but I wouldn't worry. There was a thread a couple of months ago on the same topic.a Robin

    dehydrated?

It sounds as if you do not have a uvb light. Somewhere on the bulb it should give a name, try and find it. It is essential for beardies to have uvb lights, as it helps with calcium absorption which will prevent metabolic bone disease. Reptisun linear tube lights are great, and I know Tracie...

    dehydrated?

You can ditch the red night light, as beardies need complete darkness at night. If the temps don't get below 65 ish at night you are fine. If they do, then you can get a ceramic heat emitter to keep the temps up. Do you have a uvb light with the combo lid? Make sure it is not a coil bulb...

    Baytril dosage

No other round of medications, and he seems to be doing well. The only thing I notice that is different is an occasional blackbeard. I think he sees his reflection on the glass. When I handle him, his beard returns to normal color. He is active and eating like usual. Thanks again, Robin

    UVB/UVA/Heat confusion :( pls help

Ok, Coil uvb lights (like the one you described) are not recommended for beardies because they do not produce the right uvb rays needed. In fact they can cause many problems including eye problems. The type of uvb lights recommended are: 1. Reptisun 10 (long tube) which can be purchased at...

Please look and help if you can!

Oh my.......I have never been so p-offed at any pet owner. What they did to chancie was abuse plain and simple. Even my 10 year old questioned why no one helped her. :angry5: Zoey (my daughter) then, rubbed her little hurt leg, and wanted me to let you and chancie know that we are sending...

    Baytril dosage

Does anyone know the proper dosage for baytril. Reggie has a RI as I suspected and the vet put him on this. He weighs 816 grams and is on .35 cc twice a day. The strength of the baytril is 22.7 and he will be on it for 5 days. I am asking this because he has a black beard, and I am...

    IS HE SICK? PLEASE HELP!

coil uvb bulbs are not recommended for beardies, and this could be part of the problem. You need a good source of uvb such as a reptisun 10 which can be purchased at petmountain.com. They need to be replaced every six months and your beardie should be able to get with 6 inches of the light. Robin
