so after purchasing materials and being scared to death of screwing up building an enclosure it is finally completed with tile... i do plan on purchasing some decorations. its a 4X2X2 enclosure, i went with 4 circle vents. this is really no different from any other post about DIY enclosures....

HOLY CRAP!!! yeah, that herpstat2 looks great... alittle out of my budget right now. home depot doesn't seem to carry plug in dimmers in my area. i may have to order one

so i recently built a 4X2X2 for my little guy. its made out of melamine. i am having a hard time with basking spot. i have used several different bulbs to try and achieve a good temp for him... a 45w indoor flood bulb only gets the heat close to 90 degrees. a 65w bulb gets me just over 90...

So the 45w bulb is not putting out that much heat. I went with a 75w which is closer.. and now trying a 100w he halogen par38. I'm still a little worried about causing a fire with this thing and no electrical box.

this is it so far... i didn't get the plexiglass cut correctly, so im unable to install it... i finished piecing it all together, cut holes for vents and cords, added vents, caulk and almost done... im questioning the 45w bulb i have for it. so i may be taking a trip back to home depot to try a...
