    phoenix worms

Crickets or superworms (not sure how long they take to breed though, and only feed superworms to a dragon that's at least 16" long)? Either of those are among the cheapest feeders and it's relatively easy to breed them compared to more difficult feeders..

    Phoenix Worms in Canada?

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention PJ's Pets.. I'm pretty sure they do carry them because I saw their pricing list for feeders in their feeder room and phoenix worms was on the list. But I don't think they have them available very often because when I asked that time, they said they didn't have any.

    phoenix worms

Hm, that's actually not so bad. I didn't know the adults only lived for such a short period of time. I guess whenever I think of flies, I think of those nasty common houseflies/bluebottles... We've had a housefly problem in the summer for the past couple years. I don't know where they are coming...

    Phoenix Worms in Canada?

I know how frustrating it is to find certain feeders in Canada.. I've ordered phoenix worms from both bugorder.com and recorpinc.com.. My dragon does really enjoy them, although she doesn't go crazy for them (the first time she saw them she did though), but then that may be because she's always...

    phoenix worms

Lol, now I know why most people don't try to breed them at home. :puke: Just the thought of having fly larvae and feces around my house is revolting enough. Plus, my parents would probably disown me.

    Hornworms

Wow, I find that pretty disturbing. And that definitely doesn't improve my opinion of roaches, LOL. Just proves that they're all the more disgustingly tougher than nails, in how they can survive through nearly everything.

    Hornworms

Alright, you want to play the grammar game, kid? Ironically, I can't say your sentences were 100% grammatically correct as well. For example, your first sentence wasn't even a complete sentence. But seriously, grammar cop posts are going out of style fast. :>

    Silkworms for Juvenile Beardies?

In my experience, you don't really have to follow that rule for silkworms.. it applies more to insects with harder shells like crickets and such. Mine has been absolutely fine eating 2 inch silkworms as a juvenile. She chews them up as she gulps them down, and plus they are so soft that I can't...

    Questions about superworms

Hm.. when I clean the bins, do I have to disinfect them or anything? I mean, do superworms carry any parasites or anything like that? I usually just use dish detergent when I clean my feeder bins. And how often should the bins be cleaned out? I can be a bit lazy when it comes to cleaning, so...

    reptile pellets any good?

Honestly, I'm not sure if you would want to use phoenix worms as a staple, unless you don't mind paying $10 per 100 of them which only lasts a few days at most. I have heard of adult beardies eating the whole tub in one sitting, so there goes $10 in one feeding. I guess there aren't really any...

    reptile pellets any good?

Yeah, I probably should've used a better container, but I couldn't find anything around the house. Everything's either too shallow or too tall! What I did was I put them in the veggie dish, but it was too shallow apparently. Because they all piled on top of each other in order to make a getaway...

    reptile pellets any good?

Phoenix worms are not by any means slow. At least, not in my experience. They travel pretty far and quickly for their size, LOL. Once they start moving or "wake up" after you take them out of the tub, they never stop moving. It's pretty annoying when you put them in the tank and they all scatter...

    Questions about superworms

Alright, I've decided to give supers a try as the staple feeders for my dragon, since I hate smelly crickets, and silkworms are a pain to look after (and to keep alive!). I only have one dragon, and I don't plan on breeding the superworms (at least, not at the moment), so what I'm wondering is...

    Argh, still sleeping all day!

So back in November, my dragon started to go into brumation, or more like semi-brumation I guess? The really weird thing is, she was only 4 months old at the time. But she was absolutely fine, health-wise. I had her checked for parasites, and they (unsurprisingly) found pinworms and coccidia...

No Veg To Feed My Beardie!

If you are using the Herptivite by Rep-cal, it doesn't have Vitamin A problem because they use something else for the Vitamin A which isn't so toxic in high quantities (the name escapes me right now. Beta carotene?). Even if you can't find the staple vegetables, I would only dust with herptivite...
