    Up and Down with Feisty

Yeah, as soon as I read the values I sprayed her viv, filled her water dish right up and popped a vent in the viv. We now have a nice 35% humidity, and both sections are dropping. Feisty is now chomping on some veggies after having basked for a bit :)

    Up and Down with Feisty

Could it be a case of more follicles forming due to mating season which is putting further strain on her system, causing the lethargy and problems pooping? Just got home from work and she was mouth gaping in the cold section: she has a low humidity (25%) and 45°C in her hot section, 31°C in her...

    Up and Down with Feisty

She was diagnosed with follicular stasis back in February but on our last visit to the vet (who is a reptile specialist), the follicles had shrunk to the point where they were difficult to find on the ultrasound. The vet had said the problems were probably linked to her previous owner who was...

    Up and Down with Feisty

Hi all, Feisty has been seemingly better but we've been noticing a few things, that escalated today. She's within the last month started to seem restless and pacing a lot on one day and then the next seeming very lethargic, staying in her cool area, especially in the section out of the light...

    Freah Start for Feisty!

Hi all, I've been posting the past few weeks about our adopted bearded dragon, Feisty. At first we were having fun being first time beardie owners but as time went on we noticed something wrong and took her to the vets. Thy found several problems, flagellates, coccidiosis, malnutrition from her...

We took Feisty to the vet... :(

Hi Tracie, Thanks for your reply. I'm sure the vet said the eggs were not bound, I think I remember her saying that they weren't in the outer shell yet. She didn't mention anything about inducing labour to me and she pretty much covered every possibility and the costs. The supplement she gave...

We took Feisty to the vet... :(

Hi again everyone, Today I took our girl off to the vets as I wasn't comfortable that she'd improve without some help. After a check over, the vet has said her calcium hadn't adequately improved and her back legs are weakened from it, she's been rejecting her food to the point where she's...

Feisty will only poop on our bed!

Thanks for the suggestion! We've tried doing this with a towel (not the same one everytime) but she doesn't like not being able to wander. She usually stands at the top of the bed so she can look out the window and even if we put a towel there, she'll shift away from it :/

Feisty will only poop on our bed!

Hi again! So, we've had our Feisty girl (about 4yrs old) for a week now, we had problems when we first got her (like us being told she was a he!) but they seem to be on the mend. One thing we have noticed is that she constantly wants to be out the viv, constantly scratching at the door until we...

First Time Owners, Adopted Adult Beardie :)

Hi again! Thank you so much for your advice, it's nice to know we're doing what we can! The first update we really have is that we looked up how to determine the sex and we're pretty sure our boy is a girl! No sign of lumps for the hemipenes, just one small lump above the cloaca. Guessing this...

First Time Owners, Adopted Adult Beardie :)

Hi there all! My boyfriend and I decided to get a pet together, as we're both besotted by my corn snakes we did our research and decided to get a beardie. Our lil dude was up for adoption in the nearby area and we're already in love after 3 days. I named my corns after Greek gods and goddesses...
