    The dubias keep

I finally gave up on paper towel, shelf liner, etc, and went to tiles for that very reason! :) They're pretty darn good at hiding in fake plants, rocks, and everything else as it is, I didn't need 'em hiding under shelf liner. I didn't want to use any adhesive stuff, for obvious...

Reflections, or "Hey, I wanna eat that *Other* beardie!!"

LOL! That sounds pretty familiar... (well, except for the toaster-sized beardie dream, although now that it's planted in my head ya never know...) Yeah, the poo art is pretty much a constant, whether it's just on the glass or on the floor tiles or on the paper... Armando is very...

Reflections, or "Hey, I wanna eat that *Other* beardie!!"

I actually tried an experiment with the paper on the inside of the cage, and it worked well as far as blocking reflection (obviously) but the drawbacks were that it gave the roaches a place to hide and climb away...

    So... butterworms, any opinions?

Thanks for the replies! I figured they must have something wrong with them, since he likes them so much! Yeah, it'll be time for a little dieting until he decides that dubias are tasty again...

    So... butterworms, any opinions?

Awhile back, I introduced butterworms to Armando's diet. Previously, he enjoyed Hornworms and Dubias (of which I have a nice colony now), with the occasional phoenix worm feast. He's never really liked silkies, and as soon as I could I stopped feeding crickets... nasty little beasts they are...

    Hi there!

After much research (thanks to all for the great posts and information), I took the plunge today and am the proud dad of little Armando! He's about 8" long and curious as heck. Tiny image of him as my avatar, I'll get around to posting more pix later... :) Looking forward to the future and...
