quick question - zoomed hygrometer

i ordered a Digital Combo Thermometer Humidity Gauge | Zoo Med Laboratories, Inc. a few days ago and it finally came in the mail
when i went to go set it up in his enclosure i accidentally dropped the humidity probe inside his water bowl then quickly took it out
i quickly ran to check the packaging to see if it is somewhat waterproof and it turns out it is not
so im wondering if it will still pick up accurate humidity readings despite it being submerged in water for less than 3 seconds

I have no idea ---- the only way to tell would be to get another hygrometer and test it out against each other --- if it got wet inside your going to be picking up that humidity and then it will be off - you can let it sit for a few days and see if it dries out but then I dont know how you would tell -
Mine are all separate -- I have a Exo Terra Hygrometer and the Zoo Med digital probe thermometers

I'd let it sit in the basking area and see what it reads. There has to be some way to circulate air through the probe, otherwise meassuring humidity would be impossible so it should dry up imo.
