Egg question...

My dragon is about 2 years old and has laid 3 full clutches so far. Two about a year ago in September and November, and another about three weeks ago. (Always in her hide, she has no use for the dig box) It hasn't been uncommon for her to lay a single egg and like a day later, lay the whole clutch. (approximately 25 eggs) She is gravid AGAIN. This time, for about a week, it is consistently one or two in the morning and nothing until the next day. Is this normaI? I have read it can, at times, take weeks to lay the whole clutch. Has anybody else experienced this?

It's not uncommon for some to lay the majority of the clutch in one go but to then have a few random ones pop out for days. As long as she's not real sluggish, struggling or blackbearding it should be fine.

Acting normal other than the constant glass surfing. Appetit is good, active and no black bearding. I believe this is the onset of another clutch as she laid about twenty five, and then nothing for about 3 weeks and now one or two a day....weird. What are the indications of being egg-bound?

Sounds O.K so far....the things I mentioned in my first comment are the things to watch for that can mean she's eggbound. If that were to happen you'd need a vet to possibly give a shot of Oxytocin to induce laying.

You're welcome ! BTW, what was her dig box like , do you have a pic of it ?

At work. No pic. Can post one later if you like. Plastic bin. About 4-5 inches deep, kept in the tank. Took up about 1/3 of her enclosure (4x2x2). Half damp play sand and half repti-soil. Would throw all the sand out (HUGE MESS) and go lay eggs in her hide. Maybe I'll try it again.

Did you have a lid on it or have the top partly covered or was it an open bin ? Sometimes having it covered gives them the sense of really hiding the eggs as opposed to an open exposed laybox.

That is about what one of my girls does as well. She loved the sand/reptisoil mix but wouldn't lay in it.
Consequently on her last clutch i gave her just damp play sand and she laid in that.

I'll try that as well. Never thought when we got her that there would be so many eggs.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
