Sudden Aggression During Fall

So, this may just be because of brumation, but I thought better safe than sorry. Paul has been doing great, about a month ago a noticed they made a pretty deep burrow under a piece of wood in there enclosure; she was very fond of it, some times she wouldn't even come out to eat and stay in their. I assumed they may have started brumation, but still provided them food. Then, they suddenly became a lot more aggressive, biting at me when I tried to pet them, puffing there beard out when I opened the doors to the enclosure. But, with the aggression the also stopped staying in the burrow for the most part and began eating more than they normally do. Is this normal before brumation, or is something going on?

Aggressive dragons are not the normal- what are temps in the tank? Surface basking temps-- how are you taking them? Uvb is it a coil or long tube fixture--

Its a tube fixture, and the basking temp is generally around 100-115F, I take the temperature with a heat gun. Though, since posting this they have calmed down for the most part. But, if temperature could be a cause, my room was getting a bit colder than usual at night, I just recently got a space heater to fix that.

Please get two digital probe thermometers- IR guns are good but can often be off especially w/ certain basking materials - you dont want temps in the tank over night over 75- 115 is too hot -- for adult dragon 95-100 is more to their liking-

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
