My bearded dragon Drako seems to be going through something and I can't pinpoint it. I believe she is about 7 or 8 month old possibly older. She is 17 inches long and weighs 412g. I got her in October and besides a few bumps here and there things have been good. She ate great, pooped great and grew fast. Now for about the past 3 weeks she has been off. It started with her slowing down on eating, which I thought was normal because she's getting older but now I'm lucky if she eats more then 2 or 3 bugs and a bite of salad. I've tried roaches, supers, crickets, silkworms, hornworms and even wax worms. She now hasn't pooped in a week when before she was a daily pooper. She's going to bed before her lights turn off. She does still get up in the morning and bask but she's not moving around that much. She is alert though and not black bearding. She does have some stress marks but she's always had those on and off. Im just really worried about her because of her not eating great when she used to be a very good eater. Is this normal behavior? Any ideas whats going on with her or am I overreacting? She's in a 4x2x2 with a 36" 12% arcadia uvb and 150 watt basking bulb. Her warm side is about 85 and her cool side is 76. I just moved her to her bigger tank a week ago so I would say its just some relocation stress but this started before I moved her besides the pooping. She also hasn't shed in about 2 months. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for the long post here's some pictures of my girl. Also want to add that she went to the vet the beginning of February before all of this started happening, everything was good, no overload of parasites and the well visit went well. The vet did say he thought she may be a bit older then I originally thought but everything else looked good. They did not do blood work. She started not eating well about a week or 2 after the visit.

The warm side is 85 is that the basking temp? How are you getting the temp- surface basking temps should be 95-100 taken w/ a digital probe thermometer they are the most accurate - IR guns are good but I would trust the probe --- the screen on your tank is a fine mesh like a screen door or a wide hole type --- these two things will have an impact on the eating - also relocation stress as well but if this started before you moved her something is off on the lighting and your temps --- the screen will block 30% of your rays-

She might be brumating because they are more lethargic and they eat very little so It's pretty normal. You might wanna have the vet test for any diseases so that way you can treat it before she brumates(If she's ready to brumate) I think it's brumation but idk...

The uvb is mounted on the inside in this set up as well as the last. Those are ambient temps taken with a digital probe, basking temps are 100 to 104.

I thought she was too young to brumate, she's only 8 months maybe a little older. I got her in October and she was only 5 inches long and weighed 9g. So you think a blood test should be done?

They usually do not brumate at 8 months unless she's really big - it could be the weather - they usually slow down and eat less- keep a eye on her weight - as they get older the pooping slows down sometimes they won't poop for weeks- she's still basking and eating - is she hydrated? How is she getting water?

She is still gaining weight, just much slower then before. She is eating but not anywhere near as much as she was a few weeks ago. I normally spray her salad but because she's been only eating a bite or 2 at best, I've been using a dropper daily to give her water. So do you think this is normal behavior and I'm overreacting or do u think there's something going on with her?

I would keep feeding her as normal - unless she shows signs of being sick - like not basking quit eating all together lethargic behavior losing weight etc I wouldnt be too concerned - dragons do slow down on eating and if shes not eating alot there isnt going to be much poop coming out - what goes in if very little very little will come out the other end -

Ok, thank you. She is not lethargic, when I take her out she still runs around like a mad women and she goes to her basking spot on her own every morning. She is still eating just not the same amount as before. She actually just went to town on some squash. I guess it makes sense that if she's not eating a ton she won't be pooping as often. These changes just seemed to happen overnight and out of nowhere so it freaked me out. Thanks again for your help.

So she just pooped, it was formed with lots of liquid around it but the urate was very large, with an orangish tint to the top of it and it was pretty hard feeling as well as almost crystallized. What could cause that? I know her uvb is good because its only a week old and she actually hasn't had as much calcium as normal because her eating habits have been off. Any ideas?

Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
