Hi there everyone, I've just taken in a beardie about a week ago; it's my first time taking care of one but I'm trying to do as much research as possible!
So I noticed these hard lumps on Oscar's inner thighs and after some googling found that they're femoral pores, and can get clogged fairly easily. I was wondering if this is to a point I should be worried about?
I read that giving him a warm soak could help soften the secretion, though I tried that today and it didn't seem to do all that much. He doesn't seem to be bothered by them -- still climbing around his viv fairly happily, I'm just worried about the potential for infections.
Info about the setup if needed:
The temps stable at 35-40c in the hot end, 25c in the cool (digital thermometer). Humidity is 30-40% around the basking spot, and 50% in the cool end -- struggling a lot to get this end down. I'm using reptile carpet as the substrate, and there's various logs and rocks that he can climb over. I'm not sure what the setup was like before him arriving; they gave us the viv along with him and there's sand in the corners and the runners for the doors, so that was likely the substrate.
