I have a 4 year old Leatherback Beardie, he has been acting a little bit grumpy lately, like whenever I go to touch him, he quickly jerks his head away, although hes fine with me touching his back. Today I went to check on him, and his eyes looked like they had been blown up like a balloon, they where closed, and as soon as I opened his cage, they went back to normal. He also looks a bit drowsy. No food or anything has changed, however I did move his terrarium to the other side of the room. He is in a 36"x 18"x18" Exo-Terra Terrarium, With reptile carpet. Please Help!

Sometimes they puff out their eyes to help shed. And they get really grumpy when they are shedding. Is this a possibility?

If you could go over your lighting setup with us that would rule that out too.

Thanks for your reply, He has a 12" Exo Terra light fixture with a Reptisun 10 mini compact UVB. And a ZooMed deep dome lamp fixture with a 100Watt Basking Bulb.

Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
